Wow, this isn’t how to make a statement to the conference.

UP is not playing ugly at all.

Let's give those guys some credit.

They simply cannot miss, and they're playing good defense.

And we cannot hit FTs, or anything else it seems ...

We will be fine, good wakeup call for the boys at the start of conference play.

We will make more shots, they will make less and we will win.

Not as confident about covering the spread anymore though. lol

to put this in perspective...Portland lost at home by 10 points to the 3-10 Jackson State Tigers from the mighty SWAC conference!!! this would equal the worse regular season loss in the last 20 years!

Not sure what happened there... GU's defense looked like it was giving Portland trouble early in that half, but by the end, looked like they were slicing and dicing the D apart.

Now this reminds me of old Zag games... being down at half and fighting back for a win... the home crowd going insane... FYI Lady Zags downed BYU by 12...

getting beat on the boards 20-16, and very close in pts in the paint, so it's not just the 3s to adjust to

Too bad I can’t watch this game. I guess I’ll watch SMC instead? Maybe they’ll do an in game break for the upset alert.

Pilots shooting 55%, yet also 5 steals.

Detroit Mercy season high FG% was vs us last week.

Our defense suspect, we give wide open looks, and Portland abusing our inability to guard the dribble drive.

Kispert only one making shots yet they are isolating him on defense over and over again.

If Duke wins, they overtake us as #1 after a performance like this, even if we win.

    Please.

Portland is 6-8 from 3; GU is 2-10.
Add 2 to ours, subtract 2 from theirs, and we're up.

We cannot hit anything, all they have to hit is the backboard and it seems to go in.

If they shoot this way the rest of the game, they'll win, bc most teams will shooting 6-8.

I think we wear them down and likely tough out a 10 point victor, and a big wake-up call for guys that think conference is like Detroit Mercy.

We must be watching different game
Most offensive sets hi puck roll against our guards and posts to high and getting burnt on dribble drive

Hope you are right...and we usually agree from a hoops perspective! Worried that PORTLAND is just feeling good and will keep feeling good.

We did get some looks off one side pick and roll, forcing the switch and a dump down to Tillie a few times. Their doubles are timely and aggressive though.

I think being #1 is truly a curse this year. Looking listless. Missing bunnies and FT's. Twenty minutes to recover.
