Great job, 62. Always felt B10 was our #1 nemesis.

If I remember correctly that original group of guys from 99-03 felt that the Big10 was always the tougher conference to win against as well - I remember seeing that on the Zag DVD “Decade of Excellence” those guys always felt for some reason that was the toughest conference. It really hasn’t changed much either. The nemesis is still them and we’ve had some really tough opponents and games even now. It’s crazy.

Curious to see the W-L record against ranked T25 teams. Zags seemed to lose more than they won for the better part of the first decade. Tide changed during the 2017 Final Four year and we've been riding that wave ever since.

Yikes , will take another two decades to get on the right side of that stat. Tommy’s got his work cut out for him.

The VAST majority of those games (particularly in Decade #1 of the Few era) were either true road games or neutral site games. Very few (i.e. roughly 10 percent) were played in the Kennel (or K2).

Folks in P6 conference get a good percentage of their games v Top 25 on their home court.

That’s also a great point as well, as you said previously in this thread. Hmmm I’ll look in a bit to see what the numbers are on all three. I’m sure it looks better after I dig then it does on the surface.

No... show more detail on that stat. Zags, especially early on, were getting games against highly ranked teams, when they themselves were not. I'd like to see the ranking comparisons and where the games were played, especially in the first 10-12 years.

The one thing you totally notice while working on this project is the fact that yes obviously the Zags teams are now better - however, the last couple years (mostly since 2015) we are winning more road and neutral sire battles overall... doesn’t seem like much change from 1998-2014 in terms of winning percentage up to that point and even 2015 and 2016 weren’t that great either in that regard. Yes the nuetral Games we could be better at - but we’ve made substantial progress across all fronts - that’s for damn sure. And hey, the old dogs held down the home wins pretty dang well I must add. They did extremely well

Rarely do we face the teams that are at the bottom of their conference. A lot of these games are in tournaments where each team has advanced, so I wonder if there is a way to rank the quality of the opponent vs the average in their league.

I’m still working on the Ken Pom thing and that will be posted at some point early next week. About halfway through that. I’ve done 2002-2010 already and only 9 opponents are worse than 100. 9 of 65 Lol.

Thank you! That’s very cool as well! We are in elite company regardless of how you do this. Very awesome! I take So much pride with this team. I’m so glad there’s many many more out there like you GZ. The transformation since I’ve been a diehard in 04 when I knew what b-ball was had been staggering. Everyone who laughed at me when I was in school when I told them who my favorite team was, everyone who doubted this great university and everyone who trashed us probably wish they had the type of determination our school has. These were Missouri, Illinois, Purdue, Ohio State Kansas fans for be most part. One Duke and UNC fan that I grew up with my entire life. Yeah sure some have gotten titles since I’ve been around the game of ball, but no other team I’d rather root for. Ever
