    NET Rankings out on Monday

Here’s an article on what to expect.
The first NET rankings of the 2019-20 season debut on Monday, Dec. 16. Here's a refresher of everything you need to know about the NET rankings and a preview for what to expect on Monday.

Thank god they got away from the RPI (RIP). Zags 61st?!?
NCAA college basketball RPI rankings and ratings for 2023, updated daily for all teams and available historically for every day of the 2023 season.

I think the Zags will be 1 or 2 seed.

Thanks for that "What to Expect. . ." article Link, 23dpg.

But the top 10 teams in the NET rankings on Nov. 26, 2018, were as follows (2018-19 finish in parentheses):
      1. Ohio State (20-15, lost in the second round of the NCAA tournament)
      2. Virginia (35-3, won national championship)
      3. Texas Tech (31-7, national runner-up)
      4. Michigan (30-7, lost in the Sweet 16)
      5. Gonzaga (33-4, lost in the Elite Eight)
      6. Duke (32-6, lost in the Elite Eight)
      7. Michigan State (32-7, lost in the Final Four)
      8. Wisconsin (23-11, lost in the first round of the NCAA tournament)
      9. Virginia Tech (26-9, lost in the Sweet 16)
      10. Loyola Marymount (22-12, lost in the third round of the CBI)

Nine of the top 10 teams made the NCAA tournament, seven made the Sweet 16, five made the Elite Eight, three made the Final Four and two played in the national championship game. Six of the eight teams that were eliminated from the NCAA tournament (with Virginia being the ninth team) lost to another team that also debuted in the top 10 of the NET.

We need to show well on NET because our RPI sucks and is likely to stay that way.

Realtime RPI has the Zags 52nd after last night's game. http://realtimerpi.com/rpi_408_Men.html

At the moment their first 7 opponents (incl. SoMiss) are a combined 10-53. The front-end of our OOC was terrible. After UNC we finish up with EWU (#77) and Detroit Mercy (#277)

Overall we are slated to play 13 sub-200 rpi games based on today's rankings

WCC looks much better overall this year. RPI should get better. BYU and St. Mary's plus Pepperdine and USF and maybe Santa Clara will give some challenges.

All those Quadrant 4 games will come back to haunt them if they stumble in league. . .along with a horrible SOS (276) .

5 teams in top 100 of NET is a pretty good starting point for the conference.

Wow, San Diego St at #3. There's a good chance they won't play a ranked team all year.

We are unlucky that T A&M is a Quad 4 even with it being a road game.

USF has a chance to pick up a NET enhancing win tomorrow when they travel to Maples Pavilion to take on Stanford. Too bad the game is on PAC12; would have enjoyed seeing the Dons vs. Cardinal.

The folks that run the CollegePoll Tracker have added a site for tracking the NET and it includes a live bracket based on NET rankings. GUB user sittingon50 shared the links in a separate thread.

                              Here they are:

I will also add these to the Menu over at the General Basketball forum, linked in my sig line
