Addition: Montana Tech, located in Butte MT, plays its basketball games on "Kelvin Sampson Court" (capacity 2,000). Per Wikipedia, Kelvin Sampson made a generous donation when the facility was remodeled in 2007. Sampson coached at MT Tech from 1981-85, prior to leaving for WSU.
The Orediggers had an impressive win over the UM Griz a week or two ago. Not bad for an NAIA team. Long ago it was called the Montana School of Mines. They have an absolutely incredible gem collection at their museum on the hilltop!

Looks like a good day to watch some real good games since the Seahawks aren't playing today. I haven't seen Arizona play yet, so this would be a good day to watch them. And the Marquette vs Maryland looks real good.

Default Sure seems like Pepperdine is awfully close to being potent

They've a poor record right now, but have played strong games against some pretty good programs, losing by 7 to USC, by 2 to Arizona, by 3 to Providence (the Waves w/o a couple starters in that one). Pepperdine's still young, but this fan sees them as a challenger for the WCC's top half this season and challenging for 2nd or 3rd in conference next season.

    Go Waves!

    :]

SCU provides two interesting games for the WCC, IMO.

@Nevada (5-3) in Reno on Wednesday, back to Santa Clara to host California (5-2) on Saturday. Cal going on a WCC "road trip" @USF, @SCU this week.

Lots of great hoops to watch.

They got killed by graduation and with a second year Coach, aren't to the point where they "reload."

Also just lost their 2nd Asst. to another program (Hawaii & Creighton) since just before the start of practice. Have no idea what that is all about.

San Diego vs UIC: Had to look this one up - UIC is Univ of Illinois at Chicago.

The Huskies' opponent tonight, Univ of South Dakota, actually defeated Texas Southern (Zags' next opponent) by 19 points 2 weeks ago in Vermillion SD. Huskies vs South Dakota airs tonight on PAC-12 network at 7:30pm Pacific. I've not watched the Huskies yet this season, so will be tuning in on this one.

That's great that Cal is willing to go on two trips to play WCC teams. Not a long trip, but it's still not in their gym.

That place was an echo chamber. You could hear shoes squeaking in the court the whole game.
