not saying it isn't tough, or that the below link is the end all on this subject, but that link lists many above Villanova outside of Ivy, both private and public

No doubt. They’re 46th in national Universities on USNWR.

With its rigorous academics and exciting campus life, Villanova is naturally very competitive. Of the 22,727 applications received for the class of 2022, the university accepted just 1,670 for an acceptance rate of 28.9%.

Villanova expects applicants to excel at the high school level. On a weighted 4.0 scale, the middle 50 percent of accepted students had GPAs between 4.10 and 4.48.

Additionally, Villanova students boast high standardized test scores. The middle 50 percent of students earned between 1380 and 1490 on their SATs, while ACT scores averaged 31 to 34. Because Villanova superscores results for standardized tests, applicants may want to consider sitting for exams multiple times to up their composite results.

Not quite Princeton material, Joel. But pretty damm good. Only GT, ND, BC better among catolicks.
I read all that as well. We visited with my daughter. The dean with spoke with said she has a better than average chance of getting in, but said we had no hope of getting any tuition deal. A few merit based schollies, everything else need based. If my daughter was gonna go, we would have to pony up. I told her to not bother applying.

Didn't Kentucky just lose to Utah? I know Kentucky has the reputation, but handing a team their 2nd loss in a week doesn't necessarily vault OSU above us.

Ohio St spreads the floor better than any team I've seen this season, not named GU (when Tillie in).

Kansas needs to take notes from OSU about how to utilize your big post guys, or us

Wins over UNC, Kentucky, & Nova this season.

Surprisingly, those arent any "better" wins than we have had.

    But look at those names.

I do think Ohio St could take us, they have size at the right spots to match us up, but it'd be a game.

We deserve the #1 just as much as they do -- right now

A month from now, maybe not

Win over UK vs win over EWU? C’mon.

The Ohio coach is scary competent. And classy. Maybe Dook has a new candidate.

Colorado and Dayton trading punches at CBSSN

    61 - 59, Colorado 5:33 to play.

At one point, Dayton had a 14 point lead.

If we are looking at resumes which I’m sure you’re not Jazz (UK has beaten nobody and has a bad loss on resume)

Not that it makes them no different because what I see if you looking at General talent ...UK far superior in that regard

One last thing, usually I might agree. The old “always jumps Gonzaga” does still take effect for the most part and did for the first half of this season already. We did see it. But I’m pretty sure the nation knows what GU has done. I’m still really scared about our team for some reason however, the proof is in the pudding. Michigan loss better than gophers by a full fledged country mile. JMO.

Cheers Jazz. Have a merry Christmas!

Colorado & Dayton heading to OT. Crowd is rocking ! Fun game to watch.

Colorado wins it with a deep 3 point buzzer beater. Flyers and the Buffalos are top tier teams

    Nevada @ SMC . 9:00pm . ESPNU

For the record, the game tonight is at a neutral site, the new Chase Center (home of the Warriors) in San Francisco as part of the Al Attles Classic. The Gaels have never played there as it just opened this year.

And for those that will continue to make sarcastic comments at our scheduling, SF is only 45 minutes west of Moraga, please consider that most decent teams will not come to Moraga and also that the Bay Area and Northern California have many D-1 schools within close proximity because of our large population compared to some other communities, maybe like Spokane.

But a neutral court is neutral for numerous valid reasons. FYI, the University of Nevada is about 4 hours from SF.
