I don’t understand the Pritchard hate either. Very good player, and an outstanding kid. Peyton worked out with my son a few times and was unbelievable to him. He is exactly the type of person I want to see do well.

It was obvious to me that Simpson was holding the wrist of an Oregon player effectively holding him to floor as he was going for the rebound. Simpson should have been called for a flagrant for the hook and hold.

I only got to see about 1/3 of this game, but my takeway was the announcers were 100% pulling for Michigan. Not very professional. They were absolutely giddy in the 1st half when the Wolverines cut into the Ducks' big lead. And I'm by no means a Duck-hugger.

Was watching Providence vs Stony Brook they were talking about the top 10. They stated this:

“It’s crazy that everyone sleeps on the Zags. Nobody talks about them in preseason and then all of a sudden they’re in top 10 and higher... then everyone seems to take them more seriously as the season rolls along - I’m telling you folks don’t ever sleep on the Zags”

I don’t think I’ve ever seen a random east coast game day that about the Zags lol

I think BYU is legit this year. They lost a couple road rivalry games in OT that they probably should have won but they look strong overall. I think they get themselves a 8-10 seed.

The WCC is 4-0 so far on the day with Pepp, SC, USF, and BYU picking up wins. Three close games are still in progress, including our game vs. Arizona.

BYU gets a nice road win at Utah State.

The WCC appears headed for a 7-0 night. San Diego and Gonzaga added two more. The Gaels currently lead Cal by ten with seven minutes to play.

The WCC goes 7-0 today. Frankly. the WCC is better than the PAC12, the SEC, and the Big East. It might be better than the Big12, but not enough samples. That leaves the BIG10 and ACC, along with possibly Missouri Valley and A10. Yeah, I would take third best conference in the country.

These are the WCC standings at the moment. Seven teams are 9-4 or better and nobody is more than one game under .500.

This is what we’ve always wanted the league to be. It will never be a conference on the level of the ACC, but the the bottom seven teams are all at least average mid-major programs. These teams are going to put up a fight when Gonzaga comes to town.

I stand corrected. It’s still a nice win over a team that was 10-1 coming into that game.

Good post, MCMM. St. Mary's, BYU, USF, and perhaps Santa Clara will be tough games in Spokane as well. League is much improved this season.

Notes on the BYU win yesterday:

    https://kslsports.com/424499/byu-bas...in-utah-state/

#2 BYU is putting together a nice NCAA Tournament resume
Wins against Houston, UCLA, Virginia Tech, and now Utah State are some of the best wins BYU has had in the non-conference since they’ve been members of the West Coast Conference and all of those wins have happened in the first seven weeks of the season.

According to TeamRankings.com, BYU is a projected 5-seed for the NCAA Tournament this March. That seems a bit extreme at the moment, but when you consider the strength of schedule BYU has faced so far and the wins they’ve compiled, it’s been pretty impressive thus far. The Cougars are on track to being a team that’s in the at-large conversation if they continue to play well.

BYU has games against Weber State and Oral Roberts to close out the non-conference schedule before opening up the WCC schedule in January.

UNC down 45-42 to Wofford, 15 mins remaining

Sitting 2 starters, & down 1 backup tonight.

Will likely return 2 of 3 for Gonzaga game, with Cole Anthony as questionable.

Are they using those charming manual scoreboards on the corners of the floor?
