Well, the examples used to remind us of the years the Zags missed playing in Spokane are ‘interesting’. This fan would like to see the Zags play in the Coliseum (how it used to be coined) every year. The upcoming EWU vs GU game would be perfect for the Spokane Arena. vs UW and WSU would be great games to play there as well. Want to get Spokane fans of the Zags exceedingly thankful and out in force .... play a yearly game within walking distance of campus that more fans can attend.

I would love to see the Zags play at Spokane Arena every year; not just for a March Madness game. With twice the capacity of the Kennel, we could pack the place with fans of both teams and have a lively atmosphere. There are plenty of worthy opponents; UW, WSU, EWU, even the University of Idaho. Just make sure the game is on ESPN and not ROOT.

    My takeaway from Bud's piece:

If the Zags can earn a protected seed they get to play in Spokane.

They have failed to take advantage of 5 previous opportunities to play in Spokane.

Breaking the streak of 5 whiffs will not come easy.

    Got it

Would love to see an annual New Year's Eve game vs WSU at the arena.

With Smith at the helm now, I think we could see a renewal of that matchup.

You had to bring that up???? Still makes me shake my head ... highly likely that more than a few palms were greased to make that happen.

Me too, but are the Zag students and Cougar students in the area on December 31st? Or are they still on winter break? I wouldn't want the crowd to be a suit and tie affair, I'd want it to be a bigger version of the Kennel.
