Zags needed a last sec shot from lottery Rui AT HOME last year. Zags are down talent wise, Dub is significantly up.....and at home. Dawgs by 12-15.

I'd like to see Tille pick it up some and take over the game like he's capable of doing. I'm hoping Kispert keeps it going with his hot hand, but most of all I'd like to see Ayayi just get released and score 30+ points.

By the way, there's a website called myteamisbetterthanyourteam.com
It compares scores until your team beats their team. Gonzaga wins after 10 scores are compared.
There's an option at the bottom ---OH YEAH, Well flip it.
Had to laugh at THAT result

Apparently I must be seeing something different on the court than most are.

I'm anxious to see LIZF's spreadsheet handle this!

The place will be packed. Huskies will be motivated and prepared. Zags are the better team.

    I think Zags prevail.

Other than widening a couple of columns, he should be able to handle it. Oh yeah, regardless of who wins the game, you finish dead last....

I hate UW. I hope we are up by 30 and dunk on the last possession. Also not opposed to shooting a three pointer.

60-56 Zags. Low-scoring, grinding affair. I could also see the winner flipped but I never predict against our boys.

Hate to say it, but the Zags lose, 78-70. With a healthy Watson playing, I think we would win. Stewart will be a handful for Filip or whoever is guarding him. I really hope I am wrong. Go Zags!

If watson was playing I wouldnt feel bad about predicting a 10 point zag victory. Unfortunately he probably wont but I still believe we have enough to get it done. Very similar to the Oregon game i suspect. Big lead early followed by a tight one late. Zags 71-70 in ot.

Probably a tight game, but we're still at that "heart over head" time of year. I think the 3-pointers fall and the free throws that matter go in.

Looking at the games the Husky's have played I see they've had some great 3 point nights and not so much on others, but what did kind of catch my attention was the number of steals per game. Anywhere from 7 to 14 seems like a high number which means we will have to watch out for that. Given it's in their backyard that's to their advantage obviously. My gut says this Zag team is still learning and a bit banged up and make some pretty basic mistakes too often yet. But I also know the talent is there and hopefully we are clicking for this game and we can win it. My loyalty insists we win.

You’re certainly seeing something different then I am. I’m not convinced this Zags’ squad can effectively penetrate UW zone or feed the post against it. Hope I’m proven wrong. Zags have struggled to keep inferior opponents off the offensive glass and big bigs like Teske sure showed Petrusev has a ways to go if he wants to be an NBA pro. Huskies athleticism and bulk will be a shock to Zags....just keep it close in first half, get confident vs this non-cupcake opponent and Zags can win...BUT, I’m just not too confident in this Zags’ squad right now. Prove me wrong!

I second that motion. Anyways, I hope to see and hear Bill Walton say funny things; it will be him and Roxy Bernstein on the call.

In my mind I say the Zags win but there is that as yet undiscovered law of the universe that sends the Zags out of Spokane whenever the first round is here.

Mark Few teams, aside from Syracuse, seem to handle zone well. I agree that Tillie is a key there, and I hope he has a good knee day (with his day-to-dayness in mind). I like Ayayi at PG more than Wooldridge in this particular matchup, but I am hoping Wooldridge plays well, obviously. Is this the game that Gilder (finally) hits some meaningful threes? I think he will do good things inside the zone, but would love for him to hit a few outside shots.

I was referring to the UW team. By the way, UW is playing a lot of man to man this year, not the Syracuse zone.
