Tough call. I really liked what I saw from Ayayi. Filip was a rock. But Woolridge was draining it all night, looked under control, and it's his home state so he gets it.

    Woolridge a warrior.

Takes hits, falls, slams, injuries, and keeps getting up, playing through injury.

He kept reaggravating that right wrist/forearm though. It was very red and swollen post game, something could be up with it, didnt take a true jump shot after the injury

Ayayi was very impressive in limited mins

Gilder hit shots and played steady

Petrusev struggled with double team yet kept sawing wood

Watson was on pace for GUnit, then then they shoulder injury.

    Timme made some HUGE plays

Kispert was good defensively but an embarrassing performance on offense, from shooting, turnovers, & lacking fluidity the rest of the team displayed including the frosh

Gilder & Woolidge both had 16 and 7. It’s a toss up but can’t vote for both. Something off with CK tonight.

I haven't seen the game yet, but Ayayi is going to get a triple double before the season is over.

Tough choice between Gilder, Woolridge, and Ayayi. I went with Ayayi mainly because of his 7 rebounds and 6 assists. Most of those assist and rebounds came when the Zags went from a 1 pt deficit to a 21 pt lead at the half

Can I pick the Zag defense?

Gilder got off to quick start. I'm guessing the familiar rims helped. I'll give it to him for the homecoming.

Woolridge really helped the team pull away in the first and I felt he helped right the ship in the second

Yeah... by next year... if he continues this track of improvement... he is going to be a special player.

I said on an earlier thread that wouldn't it be surprising if the guard position ended up being an unexpected strength for this GU club. Tonight's performances by Gilder, Woolridge, and Ayayi give us a glimpse of what that might look like. Talk about stat lines!! I went with Woolridge for GUnit, but any of the 3 were worthy.

    - total game, voted for woolridge

    - but holy moly, you give ayayi 28-30 minutes on the floor and he can give you a triple double.

From my perch in Section 103, Joel looked very comfortable on the court...the game has really slowed down for him. Zags were devastating on defense running a 3 guard set with Admon, Ryan, and Joel.

Aggies dribbled the ball way too much, the Zags were picking their pockets.

Joel had a great stat line
he had fewer minutes than the other contenders for this worthy title
shot 67% and they weren't all layins
led the team in blocks, steals, and assists,
second most total rebounds, and offensive rebounds, which I view as worth more than defensive rebounds

Would have given it to Ayayi, but Woolridge played after the injury to his forearm/wrist (extra GUnit points there).

No voting option for Kispert? J/K! Clearly an off night. But early in the second half he made a three and followed it with the assist to a Gilder and the team seemed to rally around him. That was great to see.

    Copy that 50...............

Joel has been a VERY pleasant surprise so early in the year. Love his length and overall confidence on the floor. Great option for Coach in the backcourt, complimentary skills to both Gilder and Woolridge.

I voted for Joel who quietly continues to be a team first example. Woolridge and Gilder were terrific.
