Soooo.... time for game 2 of the new season. Next up for the Zags... The Golden Lions from Arkansas - Pine Bluff.

The Golden Lions took at 29 point beating by Univ. of South Florida... you know... the OTHER USF. Roster is a solid mix of experience and youth.

What are you hoping to see out of the Zags? What are you expecting to see? Thoughts? Predictions?

All I want to see at this point is for everyone to stay healthy and the younger guys to continue to get better.

I think Few will be emphasizing defense, so a little lower scoring game. 89-54

I am hoping Mark is riding the boys about playing defense... going to be critical early... so I suspect this game will be lower scoring

The Golden Lions only managed 41 points vs. South Florida in their opener, played in Tampa, shooting 29% from the field. They committed 21 turnovers and were out-rebounded 29 - 20.

    I hope to see:

Petrusev in the game, indicating his ankle sprain was a short-term issue.
A bit of Tillie; he'll need to start knocking off the rust in advance of the A&M game
    FT shooting improvement
Watson and Timme combine for 35 points and 18 boards

    Prediction:

    Bulldogs: 97
    Golden Lions: 61

95-60 Zags. After my great showing last game, I will dial it back a notch...or three.
Hoping you have a sense of humor too!

I hope to see steady improvement by the team. I'd like to see better free throw shooting.

I watched the St. Mary's game with Wisconsin the other night and the Gaels played very well in a big win for them. It was a low scoring affair and fits what they like to do. I believe the Zags will have to improve to beat St. Mary's when conference play begins.

Hope to see Killian play, even if it's just for a few minutes. Hope to see better defense from our freshmen; we let Alabama State get a little too close sometimes.
