    Since '76-'77.

    There's a few from before that time frame that I might squeeze in there.

    Mr. Russell comes immediately to mind.

    I like the way this metric puts glamour aside, and uses content.
    Before 76, though nobody seems happy about it, Wilt Chamberlain has to be brought into the conversation.

    Not going to take any statistical model seriously if it doesn't have Hakeem Olajuwon in the top15. Something is terribly wrong with this metric.

    I feel somewhat the same about lopping off the first 7 years of Abdul-Jabbar's career as well. To some extent there has to be a 'Ya knows greatness when ya sees it' context. It also seems that a case could be made that one can make statistics say what they want.
