I can’t watch Zach enough! If anything is making Gonzaga look like a blue blood, it’s our NBA rookies preseason performances.

Bet Jordan Poole doesn't want to see Norvell again, wrong end of both of those highlights.

So I'm not understanding the contract he has with the Lakers...can someone explain how it works...I think he is limited to the number of games he can play with the Lakers or he gets a different type of "contract."

Zach signed a "2-way" contract. This limits him to play only 45 days with the Lakers, the rest of the time he will be on their G-league team. He is paid at the minimum NBA salary pro-rated for those 45 days. His remaining days/games are paid at the G-league contract. This is how I understand it.

The Lakers are waiving guard Zach Norvell Jr. and signing forward Devontae Cacok to a two-way contract, league sources tell @TheAthleticNBA @Stadium.

I think he needs to play somewhere.....being with the right team at the right time is so very important in the NBA with Sabonis being the best recent example..

I'd be curious to know if Gonzaga has any formalized means by which former players can network with one another and use their mutual contacts to help a Zag like Norvell here to find an opportunity to play professionally somewhere this season. Do they help each other out or is it entirely in the hands of the player's agent?
It is their time....their team...I just get to watch. - Bartruff1

For the South Bay Lakers yesterday, Norvell, Jr., had 31 points and 13 rebounds.
