Not necessarily anything new, but BYU released a statement today.

I agree with BYU here. If what they say is true--they had no knowledge and this was a minor deal with Emery and a renegade booster that was done surreptitiously.
Meanwhile what's the latest on Arizona, Carolina, LSU, USC, etc.?
I wonder why the NCAA seems to kill a fly with a sledge hammer when it comes to the little WCC
Punish the programs that didn't know about their players violating NCAA rules, but let the ones who actually helped their players violate NCAA rules off the hook? Sounds about right.

BYU and BYU Athletics run a tight ship. They have every right to protest this decision.
According to Nick Emery, that isn't the case LOL

Emery is a dumpster fire with a perpetual flame. . .A response to a basketball recruit from the Twitter account of former BYU guard Nick Emery became the subject of controversy late Friday night.
The reply to a tweet from BYU basketball recruit Mady Sissoko regarding his impending commitment announcement reads: “You would be playing with some of the greatest dudes and have great teammates at BYU, but playing for those coaches would be an absolute disaster. They are not what they portray and are super sketchy and dishonest!”
Hmmm... who to trust? Emery or BYU? In the absence of other evidence, I'm going to go BYU over Emery.

Twitter has not coarsened character, it has exposed it...
I'm sorry but I HAVE NEVER BEEN nor WILL I EVER BE an Emery fan...All it took was that cheap shot slog of a Utah player...
I hate these coaches that look the other way when players act inappropriately they just set him for one game and then all is forgiven...Yes, I know it's all about winning which leads to more money...
The coaching staffs at BYU and Duke should have been suspended one game as well!
I know that Rose is a honest, brave and fair minded....but I still hold him responsible for Kaufusi..... shameful......there must be a lot of those Kaufusi boys …...as I saw one in the BYU Tennessee Game, he got ejected of course …..I am glad I don't have to feed them...
