Freshman year Rui for sure. I think Junior Rui had a superior stroke.

Paolo moved up one spot in the Top 247 to claim the number 4 spot. He is number 3 in the composite.

Yep. It's the strength, jab steps, mid range, the way he never looks in a hurry.

I'd definitely like to see him working on the 3 ball.

Hate to say it cuz I know the Rui defenders will freak out but Paolo is much better than frosh Rui and when he walks onto campus will be much closer to Jr year Rui. If you haven’t seen him play beyond the highlight videos you may not believe it, but the kid is a flat out WINNER and plays every facet of the game at a high level.....he can bang in the post, he’s ball-handling and vision (former stud QB) make him super dangerous in the mid-range and open court, and he can shot the 3 already better than Jr year Rui. We land him and we land a MONSTER....

Stepping off my soap box now...

You are 100% spot on. Paolo is a top 5 draft pick walking onto campus. No hate on Rui and his growth, but Paolo is another level, Rui plus some.

Agree, when I say he reminds me of Rui, i'm saying right now he looks like Rui last year as a junior. I think he could have the impact as a freshman that Rui had in year 3.

Right with you! I wasn't disagreeing with you or anything, just saying I agree Spoko13 on his assessment.
