    I believe this got missed.

Someone else will have to speak to the quality of this team and league.

Looks like they play in Eurocup.

Confusing because when you click the link for Maccabi Rishon LeZion, it goes to Maccabi Tel Aviv, which from what I've read here previously is by far the dominant team in Israel and Pargo's old team and was paying Pargo millions. Hope someone in the know can clarify.

There's a thread a little further down in Old Dogs that caught this. Under that thread there is a comment

Israel isn’t a great domestic league but it is a EuroCup participant so he will have ample opportunity to show his stuff. He seems like a guy who could climb up to a EuroLeague club in a couple seasons.

Ah, that was the Lakers thread, think it's good enough to have a new thread for a new team.

Happy for JWIII. Does signing to play professionally in Israel mean Lakers no longer control his NBA rights, for lack of a better word? If this frees up JWIII to hopefully sign w another NBA team in the next year or 2-3, I will be thrilled for him. Stay away from the soap opera drama that seems to emerge in any locker room w LeBron James in it.

I think he played with the Rockets summer team, so pretty sure no team has his rights and he's a free agent.
