USA loses to Australia, that starts three WCC (SMC) players...
Other teams with WCC players: Japan-1, Canada-2, Lithuania-1

I don't know of any others but think that the WCC might well have more players than any other conference participating in FIBA's World Championship, of course they are from GU and SMC.

    From Rookie Wire/USA Today: https://therookiewire.usatoday.com/2...nnis-schroder/
The ninth overall selection added five rebounds, two steals and one block and finished the game by shooting 10-of-16 from the field, including 2-of-3 from three-point range.

Oklahoma City Thunder point guard Dennis Schroder led Germany with 16 points while Paul Zipser added 12 points and Daniel Theis recorded eight points in the loss.

Japan has one final exhibition game versus Tunisia on Aug. 25 before beginning the World Cup on Sept. 1 against Turkey. They will face the Czech Republic Sept. 3 and the United States Sept. 5.

USA plays Canada tonight at 2:30 AM, televised on NBA TV. I've got the DVR set.

Live stats will be here: https://www.fibalivestats.com/u/AUSO/1314889/

It's going to be very interesting to see how USA rebounds from its loss to Australia.

I'm Happy for team USA but wanted both Pangos and Kyle to play well...seems like Pangos was sure off...
    3 for 11 shooting, 2 assists, 2 to's and 2 steals...

KW had what seems like a pretty good night against NBA players...the question is - How did he play on defence?

Anyone watching the game please chime in...I'd like to read your comments on KW...I've always felt he would be an excellent bench player in the NBA...

Coming up on Saturday, August 31, Guy Landry Edi's Cote d'Ivoire team plays China at 5:00 AM. Game will be streamed live on ESPN+ ($5.43 per month), an incredible bargain to give you a window on all the FIBA World Cup games.

    World ranking Cote d'Ivoire: #64. China: #30. (http://www.fiba.basketball/rankingmen)

And on Sunday, September 1, 2019, at 12:30 AM, Pangos and Wiltjer join Team Canada vs. Australia (ouch!), in round 1. No Olynyk, but Cory Joseph is espected to be playing for Canada.

Game will be streaming live on ESPN+.

Canada is ranked #23 on the world rankings. Australia is ranked #11. (http://www.fiba.basketball/rankingmen)

Here comes Rui Hachimura's Japan team competing against Turkey (oh, dear!) at 1:30 AM Sunday, September 1. Japan is ranked #48 to Turkey's # 17.

    Good Luck, Rui!

(No, Ira Brown's not on this year's team, despite the mention in the video.)

Thanks for breaking it down for us ZN! This end of summer hoops binge may just be enough to satisfy my cravings til Zags games begin in November.

Do you know if games can be viewed live online at FIBA site... or at least full game replays? Spent some time on that site just now and it’s not clear to me if they will be streaming all games live etc.

Lithuania, Canada, Australia w Senegal in Group H is far and away the toughest group. Can’t wait to watch Pangos, Wiltjer and Sabonis on the court together. Hope both those teams advance...sorry Nevada Don.

GonzagasaurusFlex, it does seem likely, doesn't it, that FIBA would run the games live on Youtube. But ESPN+ is a bargain if FIBA doesn't offer the games free.

    Can't wait!
