Matty only played 12 minutes and had his worst game of the tournament. Such is life.

Today's game story from the TBT website: https://www.thetournament.com/news/1...st-virginia-68

    #1 OVERSEAS ELITE 80, #4 BEST VIRGINIA 68

    By: TBT Staff | @thetournament

Jeremy Pargo had 20 points to lead six players in double figures in Overseas Elite’s 80-68 victory over Best Virginia. Justin Burrell had 11 points and 10 rebounds to help the four-time champions to their 27th consecutive victory. Kevin Jones led the way with 20 points, and Devin Williams grabbed a game-high 16 rebounds in the loss for Best Virginia, which shot just 23% (6-for-26) from three-point range and 31% from the field.
And from a West Virginia site: https://www.wvillustrated.com/top-st...-second-round/
Best Virginia’s most glaring woes came from their shooting. Despite taking 21 more shots than the Elite (71 to 50), they only made 22 of them. Overseas Elite, however, sunk 27 of theirs for a 54 percent clip.

Jeremy Pargo made his presence known throughout the game, chipping in 22 points for the Elite, tying with Kevin Jones for the game high. Pargo would also grab 5 boards and dish 6 assists.

While Pargo brought the brunt of the scoring, much of their offense was spread out across the team with six of their eight players logging double figures.

The Richmond Regional of The Basketball Tournament 2019 was conquered by Overseas Elite after the 78-70 victory over Team DRC on Sunday at the Siegel Center. The win brought the four-time defending champions to the Championship Round, which will take place at Chicago’s Wintrust Arena between August 1st and August 6th.

Jeremy Pargo shared a team-high 16 points with Justin Burrell, who grabbed ten rebounds as well. Bobby Brown went for 14 points with 4/6 shots beyond the arc.

Up next for the Overseas Elite will be DeMarcus Cousins’ Loyalty is Love. Team Hines, Greensboro Regional winner, will face Boeheim’s Army or Team Brotherly Love. The other quarterfinals matchups feature Eberlein Drive versus Carmen’s Crew and Jackson TN Underdawgs versus the Golden Eagles Alumni or Sideline Cancer.

Out of the eight teams that will make the trip to Chicago, only one will be crowned champion and secure the grand prize of two million dollars.

There was nobody that could so unexpectedly explode for a dunk like Pargo until Brandon showed up.

Pargo channeled his inner Damian Lillard on that last shot.

While Clarke was absolutely explosive, I'm not sure I'd call it unexpectedly explosive like Pargo. Clarke was big enough that while the dunks were spectacular, they were never on the same level of surprising to me as when Pargo would just fly in and flush it home. Loved watching Pargo, and glad he's had a highly successful professional career.

The only thing missing from his game was a keener eye from behind the 3pt line...if he had that, he would still be playing in the NBA...IMO
