Default NWG to Jazz - 3 year deal

NWG just signed with the Jazz, who is a sleeper to win it all next year!

“Nigel Williams-Goss is signing with the Utah Jazz, sources told Eurohoops. The Greek club is going to receive $1 million as buyout to release the player. The former Gonzaga player has a guaranteed contract for next season with Olympiacos which includes only an NBA opt-out clause”

Congrats NWG! The article says it is a three year contract with the Jazz. Didn’t we have another point guard at Utah a few years back?

Default NWG signs three year deal with the Utah Jazz

Don’t have the details yet but this is deserved. He did it the right way for borderline prospect. work hard in europe, improve your game every year, succeed at every level, moving up the Pyramid to the near top (EuroLeague) and then get the NBA call. If you can become a solid rotation player for a top club in the EuroLeague you are good enough for the NBA if you can find the right role and organization.

Very happy for NWG earning a 3 year NBA contract. Great to see a Gonzaga guard in the league again.

Zags definitely on NBA roster for 2019-20 season:

    Kelly Olynyk (Miami Heat)
    Domantas Sabonis (Indiana Pacers)
    Zach Collins (Portland Trailblazers)
    Nigel Williams-Goss (Utah Jazz)
    Brandon Clarke (Memphis Grizzlies)
    Rui Hachimura (Washington Wizards)
Zach Norvell (LA Lakers) ...thanks Zdawg

Hopefully Jonathan Williams III gets signed to a contract as well.

Great to see so many Zags in the league now and I expect many more to come in the future!

Getting bigs to the NBA hasn't been a problem lately, but guards... I hope this helps on the recruiting front.

That said, this was fantastic news when I saw it in my Twitter feed earlier today. I am excited to see him play and think he will do well. I am quickly becoming an NBA fan again with all of the Zags to watch next year. The next one to root for is Pangos. How cool would that be?

It would be great if Perkins was able to stick with an NBA team and in the future if Pangos could get a contract.

NWG better not get too comfortable with the Utah Jazz because their is now a bidding war on the table by two different NBA teams to grab him in a trade with Utah.

NWG may not be in SLC for long as two different teams are trying to trade for him not that the Jazz signed him.

    Default NWG to Jazz

A couple different sources saying 3 years for 2 million. Spotrac.com has the estimate at right under 900k year one based on the Jazz’ cap numbers, which would make it closer to a 3 million contract. However it lands, very well done NWG.

Boom. With a one-year guarantee from 1.5 Million per Spotrac. Years 2 & 3 are team option.
