After Clarke finished #2 in PER behind Zion and then single-handedly demolished Baylor in the tourney I thought he was top 6 in this year's draft. The fact he fell out of the lottery blew my mind. He was the steal of the draft, and I think Memphis got really lucky. They're going to get a ton of production for very little money for a couple of years.

+1. It has been entertaining to watch summer league because he has stood above the rest, and you can tell that he is having fun and that his teammates like him. As for career trajectory, I keep thinking of him as some sort of hybrid between Blake Griffin and Andre Iguodala.

                        Yassss!

I’m so proud of Brandon and so happy for him. He is getting his well deserved due.

The Griz got a great deal.
                        Bonjour tristesse.

Congrats to Clarke and Hachimura. Two out of ten players make the All-Stars. Pretty good for GU. I like it!

I keep thinking about Brandon's mom and stepdad watching these games and how over the moon they must be. I love this interview with them on KREM 2 earlier this year. (I've posted it before, but it's well worth another watch!)

Thanks ZagNative: You Sweetheart. I love this interview. This was the first time I heard/saw it. Just amazing, as well as the amazing footage of Brandon. But his parents are soooo cool. I'm sure it's how so many parents feel about their kids who do make it big. I could feel how unbelievable it feels to them. I love their humility, and I love Brandon's. I always wondered where he got it. Now I know. This touches my heart because I have a couple of grandchildren who are exceptional athletes, and this interview with actually brings tears to my eyes because of the well of joy as well as of pride that Brandon's parents feel. I feel that for my two grand children (one boy and one girl). Again, thanks ZagNative. Thanks for making me cry AGAIN.
