Default NBA Draft Night For Gonzaga Players Rui, Clarke and Norvell. Let's celebrate THEM!!!

I'm really stoked about this night. So far the show has been really good and full of a lot of emotion. It's so good to see Rui and Clarke and Norvell their. Share your thoughts and emotions here. Let's celebrate these great Zag athletes. Just amazing to see three of them going in one draft. Makes me think back how we all thought we'd be in the Final Four last year. It was, however, a great NCAA Tournament. Maybe the best of all time. So many games were so close. And now tonight we celebrate all those great athletes we saw in March, and especially those three we call our Zags.

Lakers might not be able to afford him. They are out of first round picks anyway.

ESPN is predicting Rui and Clarke both going in top ten. I hope they're right. We're on #7 right now. Just watched Culver (Texas Tech) get picked. Makes me remember that nightmere game. I believe Culver hit a couple big shots toward the end of the game. Culver seems like a really nic young man.

Very confusing all these trades that cannot become official until July 6. Perhaps they should move the draft to a date where the trades are immediately legal.

I was thinking the Lakers are trading pick #4 for picks 8 and 10.

David Griffin gets my vote for the next NBA GM of the Year award. Cleveland owner looking idiotic for letting him get away.

Rui at #9 drafted by Washington. Wow! Wow!! Wow!!! I'm so happy for Rui and Gonzaga. Love his smile. It says so much about him. I like the Wizards and am glad he'll be living in the Washington on the East Coast. I'm smiling too. My favorite Zag this year, and my favorite collegiate player this year. Congrats Rui. Way to go! A star is born.

ps: Wow! He is compared to Leonard who is now a NBA champion. Now that's an honor. Wow!
Now let's get Clarke at #10.

I honestly didn't think Rui would go that high. For sure Brandon is top 20 now.

So freaking happy for Rui. Gonzaga’s 2nd highest pick ever.

I hope he sticks around! Motivation to watch a Wizards game now. There may not be a whole lot of new talent added since they are fighting cap.

Some very smart people have said that Adam Morrison's college career at Gonzaga helped the Zag's basketball program more than anything or anyone did. Because of Adam, high school stars really wanted to play at Gonzaga. The success of the Three Zag players who will be drafted tonight, imo is another huge step for Gonzaga in recruiting.

I'm hoping Clarke goes to Boston as the 14th pick, the final lottery pick.

Default My favorite Rui Hachimura memory

I am thinking of two: #1 is his defensive play those last two plays against Duke, and the smile on his face when we stopped them twice and his smile after the game. I will always remember his beautiful smile, and that says so much about him.

Yeah, I made a mistake in that I had just turned it and I saw Rui at 4 and BC at 9, but those were "best player left" stuff, and so I picked up that Rui went at 9

So I changed my post but I guess it didn't go through, to "Rui just got very rich."

He will make more money than any Zag BB player except maybe Stockton (adjusted for inflation) bc his endorsement deals in Japan will be off the charts. The salary isn't too bad, either.

Anyone notice that kid in the stands? He's already been seen with two different team jerseys! lol
