I was reading this AM's cage liner and came across a tidbit I didn't know and thought it might be fun to have a thread along those lines to help fill in during the off season. I'll start.

Take UCLA out of the equation and the comparison would be 7 & 2.

It's crazy that Arizona (and Lute) got their one and only ring on a year when they were the 4 seed and had finished the season 5th in the PAC10!
That run had so much luck.

• 2nd round - overcame 10-point 2nd half deficit against the 12 seed (College of Charleston)
• 3rd round - Won a single possession game VS KU.
• 4th round & Final game - Won both games in overtime

Speaking of luck - did anyone else see that UVA trailed all three of their final tournament games this year with under 15 seconds left and won each time? That's after they got by after Oregon after failed to make a single field goal in the final 5:40 of the game (and didn't even attempt a free throw until 15 second left).

Clearly UVA is elite and had great defense, but the chance of pulling off a streak like that is infinitesimal.

Somehow I think that's going to change under Hoiberg............

I really wished he stayed at Iowa State, and thought he could've won a title there. I'm excited to see if he can get Nebraska to the tournament, and win a few games, or possibly more.
