Would I? I generally am not critical of EVERYTHING the Zags do.
Hoping you have a sense of humor too!

Few just said that "corey was our player of the game". He said it twice. Uh, CK was great, but Few, you're wrong.

Not the prettiest, but pretty doesn't win games. At this point in the year, winning is all that matters. Hope to see a better game from GU against Florida State.

tough win, love it, survive and advance

Zags actually outrebounded Baylor badly, including 13-12 on the o boards

love it, punked them at their own game. they can whine all the way home with their ugly basketball

Corey Few did play excellent tonight, but Clarke was otherworldly.

Didn’t read the whole thread. Was Rui sick tonight or something? Didn’t look like he belonged out there playing with the men?

Rui is a great player with a load of upside, but he's had two pressure packed games here recently - St. Mary's and Baylor - where he was a total complete no show. His head wasn't in the game, or he go scared from the pressure instead of embracing it like Brandon Clarke did. I do not believe it is a terminal condition, but it's the next step in his evolution as a prospect. He has to show up big in these games, and I am telling you, the Zags stand no chance against FSU unless Rui and Brandon have really good games and we stop with the boneheaded turnovers.

Brandon not only broke the GU single game NCAA tourney scoring record. He, David Robinson and Shaq are the only 3 players in the history of the dance to collect 35 or more pts. and 5 or more blocks. Unreal.

And I agree with Few. Kispert played a fine game.

He wasn't there for St. Mary's either. Another BIG game. He has to man up next week and show the nation that he can deliver on the biggest stage.

First of all by believing that we can and not being obsessively afraid of them. Duke had no issues with FSU....even in a game when they didn't have Zion. GU beat Duke and frankly shares a lot in common with Duke with their versatility. The tournament is a game by game affair. Just because you're hot one moment, it doesn't mean nada. One thing is for certain: Rui must show up Thursday, or we do not have any chance at all. Few needs to issue a challenge. Rui needs to take their bigs away from the hoop and drive them or shoot jumpers. Killian is probably going to nail a number of threes as well.

I was thinking about some of those passes and decided - at least they aren’t playing too up tight with the ball in their hands. [/sarcasm]

Perkins and his mental mistakes were difficult to watch. Against a better team that will kill us. Im not saying it was only him, but a PG shouldn't be making those kind of errors.
Hopefully Rui will lift out of his walking coma against FSU.
Clarke and Kispert were awesome tonight. It was great to see the Zags respond to Baylors runs and finish.

by the way...in case you didn't know..."Slapping the backboard is neither basket interference nor is it goaltending and points cannot be awarded." especially if done while attempting to defend...

    Enjoy this moment.

Sweet 16 is fun. This is what it's all about. Playing another week in the Tourney.

But we won't beat Florida St unless we are firing on all cylinders.

As CDC pointed out, we beat Duke by Rui AND Clarke playing well. We nearly best Tennessee the same way. Both showing up.

But we lost when Rui didn't and nearly lost until Kispert had the game of his career and Clarke was a beast.

Facing incredible size next week. We must find a way to get Rui engaged. Not forcing it to him like we did after halftime but finding it within.

Rui must develop the mental toughness

Which of Perkins 2 turnovers bothered you..the last one trying put nail in coffin or the first one trying to feed Clark

Or maybe it was one of his six assists?
