Suppose we will need to figure out how to slow up the three point shooting.

He did the exact same thing Geno did, dropped 40 on Baylor and then transferred to them.

So what's the plan here? Do we give Snacks the green light and live or die by him? He's going to have a ton of open looks.

Isn’t Few like 50-0 lifetime vs the Big 12?

Kind of interesting how Baylor did it by going to a man defense in the 2nd half. For all the talk of zone defenses. I suspect we will see a variety of defenses on Saturday. GU has good success against Baylor in recent times. Also kind of interesting in that we were once secret scrimmage partners.

so Baylor, the 1 3 1, strong inside on the o glass, shoots the 3

doubt Zags give up so many catch and shoot 3s like the Syracuse zone did tonight. more forcing the dribble and then having to box out as a team to secure the d board out of M2M probably, then run

Whatever it is it’s better than the ACC lifetime record. Happy to avoid Boeheim

they played both in the games I watched, and it was the M2M that was more effective, takes away the catch and shoots even tho Syracuse kept jacking under pressure off the bounce. kind of lulled imto it

Maybe 50-1. I seem to recall them losing to a Blake Griffin led OU team.

Baylor may have played some good D at times tonight, but it is a team weakness. Before this game, there were #75 in adjusted defensive efficiency at Pomeroy. #28 on offense. It's a team that has just lacked consistency all year.

Baylor will know Zags inside & out. John Jacus & Rem Bakamus on staff.

Zags will have to execute at a high level.

Jacus former Director of Bball Operations and Rem a former player.

Essentially, they have a literal copy of our playbook.

Inconsistent but when they hit shots, they have buried people, they beat Iowa St TWICE, they beat Oklahoma a tourney team by 30, they beat Top 10 Texas Tech, Oregon, Zona, TCU (nit), etc.

They play in top ranked conference in nation this year, played Kansas to the wire in all their games.

Lost 13 games, yet 12 of them were less than 8 pts, meaning they compete and always in the game.

They can ball, are strong at every position, & renowned for rebounding. Plus, they just hit 16 3's in Round 1.

Two of Zags' weaknesses -- giving up offensive rebounding (they are top 3 in nation). Giving up 3's in big games (they just shot 50+%, & made 16).

We will need all hands on deck. Battle mode mindset. Rui, Tillie, Clarke all better be ready to play physical and mean.

Arizona wasn't very good this year, but Baylor absolutely crushed them on the glass. It was something like a 50-19 advantage. Definitely your point about offensive rebounding is apt.

Don't forget that Baylor had the late game, plus press conferences, plus playing at elevation. ......and they're trying to scout an unfamiliar team of whom you have to take the top 8 players seriously on the scoring end. Plus, they just looked tired at the end of last night's game. Tired legs don't lead to good perimeter shooting.
