    WCC NEWS

Apparently Franklin Porter is leaving his Dad's team in Portland & going the Grad Transfer route. "Rumor" I picked up (a weak one) is that Terry still has a job. Since the Zag family got an up close look in the last few days that life is about a lot more than basketball, I can appreciate that this is a tough situation. Wish the best for all.

Also no surprise that Jahshire Hardnett is leaving BYU, also via the Grad transfer route.
    But we don't play nobody.

Pacific losing 2 guards, Kabellis & Sanni. Sanni may have made WCC All Frosh team if not for a late season injury.

Leading scorer, Soph. Marcus Shaver (14.8) is leaving.

And apparently 3 other kid's beside the above 2 are leaving.

UP was 0-16 (+1) in the WCC last season. Think they'll be worse now?

Kendall Small leaving Pacific. Started @ Oregon then RS'ed a year. Assume he's a Grad Transfer if he gets his diploma in June.

(thanks to Kemo for the heads up).

Nice for SMC and the WCC to see this from VC. And a nice get for the Gaels.

The West Coast Conference announces a multi-year partnership with Hercules Tires, as the Official Tire of the WCC.

SAN BRUNO, Calif. – The West Coast Conference announces a multi-year partnership with Hercules Tires, as the Official Tire of the WCC.

Hercules Tires will receive significant branding and on-site activation presence during the University Credit Union WCC Men’s and Women’s Basketball Tournament March 5-10 at the Orleans Arena in Las Vegas.

“We are thrilled to welcome Hercules Tires to the WCC family,” said Gloria Nevarez, West Coast Conference Commissioner. “Trusted in the industry, Hercules Tires brings an established brand with a strong record of exceptional quality and customer service. The West Coast Conference and Hercules Tires were both established in 1952, and each has a long and proud history of serving its stakeholders. We believe this partnership will further enhance the visibility and brand loyalty of our Conference and Hercules Tires for years to come.”

“We’re excited to enter into an official partnership with the WCC and the national platform this sponsorship gives us to grow our brand visibility by introducing it at a grassroots level to these fans,” said Joshua Simpson, Senior Vice President of Hercules Tires. “By having the ability to have an on-site presence at events throughout the year we’ll have the opportunity to create an authentic relationship and hopefully be top of mind when it’s time to make a tire purchase.”
