I'm counting on that to make a difference in the second half. He was out because of his fouls, but not having him on the floor makes a big difference.

Yep norvell needs to arrive in the gym offensively. Defensively he has been tough leading team in rebounds

Are they really THAT dangerous though? We are always the hunted. No team in WCC has a signature win and it’s not mattered lol. SMC is a quality basketball team that’s best suited for the NIT again ... even if they win today they’ll be heartbroken on selection Sunday bc Zags will take care of business in Vegas

For years I’ve noticed elite teams play much tighter spacing defending the perimeter that our Zags do. Ford is a known threat out there. Hope the coaches address for second half. In the last meeting we played smothering defense and fought hard for every rebound and loose ball. That slippery floor scares hell out of me.

With all their success driving the lane, they will keep doing it and ultimately keep Clarke’s minutes down with foul pressure.

Any recommendations on how to protect both the rim and Clarke?

I wouldn’t have given them a chance of being within 10 at the half but they are playing better than they have this season. I suspect we will know early on if they have the guts to stick with us in the second half.
