Other Games - Week of 2/18-2/24/2019

Some very big games today; #6 Notre Dame travels to Raleigh to face #12 NC State, #23 Rutgers travels to Bloomington to face an unranked, but decent Indiana team and #3 Oregon travels to Corvallis to finish the home and home series with the Beavers. If teams follow chalk, this could mean another loss to NC State and another loss to Oregon State. These two loses won't bring them down to the lady zags, but combined with another loss might be enough.

Really good start to ND-NCSU in the first quarter. Back and forth, high scoring, both teams shooting well. Q2 has slowed down, shooting has cooled off. ND looked on the verge of running away w/ it, getting buckets in transition, but State inched back into it. 38-30 under 2 minutes til hafltime (was 23-21 after Q1).

Good game in Raleigh tonight. ND looked like they were going to blow NC State off the court in the 2nd quarter, but Brianna Turner got her second foul and NC State began their comeback. ND still leads at halftime, 41-36.

Rutgers, currently unranked, is in a close game with a good Indiana team. The Scarlet Knights are leading at half over the Hoosiers 32-31.

Ducks playing the Beavers tonight (2-18) on ESPN. I think ESPN2 or maybe ESPN-U.

ESPN2. It's a double header, right after the Notre Dame-NC State game.

ND starting to run away from NC State. With just under 3 minutes to go in the 3rd quarter 65-51.

All 5 ND starters already have 10+ points tonight.

Interesting statistic is that all 5 ND starters have over 1,000 points for their career.

After 3, ND leads 75-59. NC State is in trouble unless ND falls off the rails.

State hung tough for a while, but now it's a laugher. ND gets out in transition and scores in bunches. Looks like they are running layup drills.

Rutgers was struggling but then caught fire and regained the lead. Up 52-47 early in Q4.

Rutgers has a player averaging 3.4 pts/game that has gone off for 24 tonight. Impossible to game plan for stuff like that.

ND is absolutely destroying NC State in the 2nd half 52-28. Nearly a 30 point beat down now.

ND puts NC State in their place 95-72.

Rutgers finally found their offense in the 4th quarter to put away Indiana 69-61.

Both victories benefit the Lady Zags.

Just need the Ducks to hold Chalk and it would be a clean sweep.

End of the 1st quarter, Beavers looking to even the series with the Ducks leading 20-15 despite Destiny Slocum spending half of the 1st quarter on the bench.

Oregon St. has largely been controlling this game so far. The length of Grymek and Morris is bothering Oregon. Hebard limped to the bench w/ maybe a hyper extended knee. Ionescu isn't getting much help. Goodman for OSU best player on the floor so far.

OSU was up 11 but went a bit brain dead just before halftime. Ducks closed to 33-27 at the half. Mostly trading buckets in Q3. Refs helping the Ducks out, they're getting every call and they flat out stole a bucket from OSU, call a player out of bounds on a reverse layup and she was in bounds.
