    Default GUnit of the Game - @ LMU - 2. 14. 2019 ?

    STATS LINK: http://stats.statbroadcast.com/statmonitr/?id=232431

Cold shooting night for GU made this one a grinder for much of the night. LMU tested them and thanks to Clarke & Hachimura, the Zags prevailed.

Conference road wins can't be taken for granted, and the Zags managed a victory on an evening when they didn't have their "A" game, though they did have a great night at the free throw line, converting 21 - 22.

    24 -2 overall, 11-0 in conference

Who made the biggest difference in your view ?

Clarke - a double/double with 17pts, and 12 rbs, then toss in 4 assts, a steal, and 3 blks for good measure.

..yea, it seemed like at a critical point in the 2nd half Rui said "Mō takusandesu" and then took over.

    - how about a vote for team free throws, 21 of 22. 95%.
    - if we had an off night, say not terrible but only 65%, we lose 6 or 7 points, and if lmu was the team with the steady eye and shot 90%, they gain around 6 points.
    - free throws, tonight that is what was the difference between winning and perhaps losing this game.

For me it was a question of Rui or Brandon but I liked Brandon's across the board stats better so he gets my vote.

Rui ..... since he was 8 of 8 on FTs and FTs were an important part of the night. 21 of 22 by the team. The game would have been even closer if LMU had done better than 9 of 16.

Maybe the gang had too many Valentines Day treats too earlier in the day. It just was not a typical Zags game.

I went with Clarke for his stats and for getting Rui involved in the game.
    His assists were to Rui.
Hoping you have a sense of humor too!

Clarke. Double double and blocks made the win.

Since "Clarkimura" isn't an option, I'm going with BC.

Blocked shots, rebounding, and defense obviously meant more in this game than usual. Clarke.

LMU missed 41 shots....whole lotta chances for Off Rebs

I'm extremely happy to see Rui Clarke stay outta foul trouble giving up 7" in post.

Then I will go with Rui to balance it out. Really want to go with Clarke, but everyone else on the team may not get many more opportunities to win one of these—Brandon fills the stat line every. single. time.

Went with Rui based on strong finish, Clarke close behind. Norvell's two 3-pointers were critical. To win these "grinder"-type games, it takes a team effort...and we got that.
