I just discovered that there is a team called the Blue Hose (Presbyterian, of the Big South).

Utah with a big-time rally to make things interesting against UCLA late. Not particularly relevant, but happens to be on, so, whatever.

Wow. Utah was down by 22, did the whole foul thing at the end, and pulled it out.

1 hour south of me in Clinton, SC. The local hilbillies down there pronounce it "Clinnon".

When I saw Duke beat a Texas Tech team with a GREAT defense that plays at a slow pace like UVA does, I knew they had a chance to sweep Virginia. Great, lottery level offensive players can beat any defense because they can hit tough shots. Especially a guy like Zion. It's the one case where the adage "defense wins championships" doesn't apply, although it must be said that Duke's defensive metrics are nothing to sneeze at.

They can win against teams that are great who slow it down, and they can beat teams who play at a faster pace. Still feel they have the best chance of winning it all, although I wish ESPN would slow down the hype.

Duke went 13-21 from three against UVA today. That is why they were in steady control most of the game. Tony pack lined them more than ever and just dared them to hit threes. Highly unusual fro Duke. I still don't see their 3 pt. shooting percentage as being a major obstacle to them winning it all. It's just a weakness, not a deadly flaw. With Tre Jones in the lineup, I don't think anyone plays zone well enough to keep those guys out of the lane. Especially with Coach K and the lessons learned after the Syracuse loss.

I guess that's what I get for making fun of ASU getting blown out by the Cougs. Arizona might as well forfeit the rest of their games and just give up on this season. My only solace is that UCLA also totally sucks this year.

Not that I know of, but there's so many tiny colleges in this country, it's impossible to keep count.

Before today they were 313th outta 324 teams; if that's not the definition of a "deadly flaw" then I don't know what is. Today was a complete aberration.

Robert Franks is the best player no one knows. Wazzu sweeps the state of Arizona and Zona has lost 5 in a row!!!

Hey guys, remember when I said Wazzu was going to go to Arizona and sweep both schools by a combined 35 points?
    I was totally right.

Assuming Duke's shooting reverts to their season averages, I think that it IS their really only weakness. A team in the dance (and realistically it wont be until the S16 game) will have to play great on a night when duke is cold from outside and at the line. They are not very good (on average) good FT shooters either.
