I’ll take Supreme Court Justices for $600.

Prior to his career as a jurist, this famous Supreme Court Justice from Boston was wounded three times while serving in the Union Army during the American Civil War.

I must be very tired bc when I first read the question, I read it as "was 'murdered' three times in the Civil War" and I got to thinking that it had to be a new record …

Alex Trebeck would say, " Sorry, wrong answer."

Albert, our beneficient moderator says " Close enough for government work." Fred MacMurray was indeed the pipe smoking Dad on 'My Three Sons'

I loved that show and its theme / opening. And don't even get me going on about, "My Favorite Martian."

Since mtzaga hasn't teed up an answer, we'll let Albert wing it in the interest of moving things along
