Default Am I The Only One Who Thinks UVA...

    ...will beat Duke on Saturday?

Duke is young and feeds on home court crowd. UVa played poorly and barely lost at Duke.

    Now it's at UVa.

I think the oddsmakers will agree.

I have to agree. I doubt that Virginia will shoot as poorly from 3 as they did at Duke.

Honestly I have not given this game any thought. Should be fun to watch though.

Though it doth pain me to say, it’s better for Zags if Dukies beat Virginia.

Kenpom has Virginia as a 4 point favourite and Barttorvik has Virginia as a 5 pt favourite. You definitely aren't the only one.

Virginia has been amazing this season. This is probably the best offensive Virginia team I've seen in my lifetime. And their defense has been strong all season and been the best in the country in the past ~10 games.

A lot of people don't properly appreciate that Hunter absence in the tourney. And the rest of these kids are fuelled by a motivation of redemption that most people can't understand.

Virginia is the best team in the country. GU is 2nd and Duke 3rd. I don't wan't to see Virginia until the national championship.

I also agree with this. Duke being a unanimous #1 overall seed is actually best for Gonzaga as it gives that GU win enough cache to make our resume a clear #1 seed. Granted with the makeup of this years' field, I don't think it matters that much whether GU is a 1 or 2 seed out west but the 1 seed is generally preferable.

Keep in mind that Tre Jones wasn’t available for the first game, and he is absolutely the person who stirs things up for that Duke offense. I could definitely see Duke losing this game though as Virginia has gotten better since their first match up.

Bennett is one heck of an x and o coach and you can bet he has in place game plan to contain the bounce attack deployed by duke in first game and thus limit duke to outside shooting and forced errors

Don’t know and won’t venture a guess. All I can say is that the ACC is tough. Very tough. Any of the top several teams could be in the Final 4.

Klay Thompson will show up and save Bennet's day.

Ha! That'd be good to see
I'm betting the house on UVA too. I have 3 and we no longer have any dogs that use them.

Ok, I don't normally do this but I'll take the 5pts and UVA...loser has to give up their house at a time of their choosing!

If you win, you could have a great winter home and when I win, I'll have a great summer home...lol

IMO UVA has an exceptional coach and very intelligent players...they will figure out how to play THE DEFENCE that will stymie those two freshman (Zion & Barnett)...

You can count me in on that, Bob. Virginia beating Duke is going to get the Zag party started. We'll be celebrating a Virginia victory, and the Zags moving past Duke in the polls. I know the pundants won't want to have the Zags leap over Duke in the national ranking, but they are going to have to. The fact is, the Zags are just better. Face the truth Blue Devils.

    Go Zags!!!
Go Zags!!! The Best Is Yet To Come!!!
