    Default Introduction + Insight Required

Hello to my fellow Zag fans!

Although I have never attended Gonzaga, I have been a big fan of the basketball program for over 10 years because of the Canadians it attracted (also because I was a teammate of and played against former players). I have read countless threads on this board ever since and have enjoyed all of the ups and downs that have come with it. I enjoy watching college basketball more than the NBA because of the more systematic and less 1-on-1 that goes on, which isn't to say that I don't enjoy the NBA because I can definitely appreciate the talent.

The reason I decided to finally make an account and post is because I need some help. First off, my girlfriend of four years (who is Japanese) is now a huge Zag fan as well ever since I introduced her to the Zags and to Rui 3 years ago. We would love to go to Vegas for the WCC Tournament to catch some of the games. I have been looking online for info as to how to get tickets and gauge how much it will cost, but have found no luck whatsoever. If anyone could provide some insight into this, we would greatly appreciate it. We already have our eye on tickets and accommodations which are at a great deal right now, but are hesitant to pull the trigger without knowing how much the tickets are and if we'll be able to get them at all. Thank you in advance!

Edit: embarrassed that I misspelled "Insight", I do not need Incite.

Whether you need it or not, the "Incite" generally comes shortly after your 2nd post. So for right now, you're "golden".

Tickets-Others will probably weigh in with more detailed info but the short version is: You can contact the athletic departments of the other WCC schools and see if they have any left. You can check with the ticket office at the Orleans on game day or perhaps the days before. The format has changed this year and if the Zags finish 1st or 2nd they will not play until Monday which is a change from the past few years. Often you will find tickets for sale at the Orleans ticket office and from fans of teams who lost in earlier rounds and have no interest in the semi and finals games. Or you can hang around the long corridor leading from the Orleans casino to the event site where you will find numerous folks buying and selling tickets. The closer it gets to game time the more the price drops.

People sell them left and right at the venue after their teams leave. I'm too type A to go that route but I did buy the cheapest package Gonzaga offered this year because we never sit in our assigned seats anyway. You can also often purchase tickets through the athletic offices of some of the lower seeded schools who's fans don't travel well. You will LOVE going!! So many ZAG fans and everyone is so friendly. So much fun!

PS I just saw section 116's post. I kind of duplicated him. Sorry.

I have never failed to get tickets at the venue especially after the game has started...…. as the teams are eliminated there are more tickets available....but...

I can understand why you would want to have the tickets in hand before you go....good luck...it is a lot of fun..... as the live games are a spectacle...... starting with the warm ups.....and the funky bands.... that you don't see on TV...

I been to the WCC tournament in Las Vegas every year. I have never failed to buy tickets either from the box office set up in the upper concourse or as others have said, from fans. I never paid more than list price, sometimes much less.

Thank you to everyone who has replied. Would anyone be able to tell me approximately how much the tickets cost, or even a range?

The last 2 times I've attended, I've bought tickets from a scalper. Your BEST bet is to get them from opposing fans...but that can be some work. I would honestly wait outside the venue after a loss, and just hold a sign or simply ask opposing fans if they have future tickets to sell. A few years back, I witnessed someone get FOUR tickets to the semi's for $20!!!!

Oh, and the last 2 times that I've bought tickets from a scalper, they were right at $100 each. Both times. Good luck. Vegas is a BLASTTTTTTTTTTTT!
    Allow myself to introduce....myself...
