North Alabama is brand new to Division One basketball this season. The Lions out of the Atlantic Sun. Looks like all 3 wins have come against D2 or NAIA teams. Surprisingly, no massive blow out losses. I thought there might be some 40 pt. losses on their sked. But they seem to lose by around 10-17 pts. per game. 4 losses have come by single digits.

DD talking about changing the Ds and exploring that. why not?

they've spent most 1st halves this year playing multiple defenses, buying time and probing what's effective

Rui has made 17 of last 18 FG's. And 13 consecutive

    Are you kidding me?!

    Ridiculous.

Dickau is wrong. Zags up 33-3 and Perkins looks to get others involved

Bias perspective from a shoot-first PG.

We watching the rise of Ayayi?

Interesting skills, seems to lack direction but feel like his spacing and passing have improved.

Guys, it’s 43-6. Like said above, N Alabama isn’t good but it also hasn’t been blown out.

as dominant a half as Zags have had? idk, pretty hard core
the focus is incredible, so high that Rui's one turnover stood out as so out of synch, the first lapse in intensity at all by any Zag all game

getting a lot of minutes, anything added is a bonus, my opinion

2nd week in a row I'm not sure if our D is that good or if the other team is just playing really, really badly. Probably a little of both. 48-14 and yet it feels like it should be worse.
My posts indicate that I don't seem to follow college basketball all that closely.

Greg Foster more explosive and better build/body, but Ayayi looks and feels like the better bball player, at least right now, better on ball defender & beginning to make quicker decisions.

Not a slight on either but at this juncture, I'd ride Ayayi for potential of post season play opportunity. Taking advantage of talents.

The limited mins must go to one or the other for on court development, esp when Crandall returns.

Ideally, they both deserve playing time, but only so many to.go around.

I'd spend extra practice time rounding out Foster's raw athletic ability and let him grow into his body, and use game minutes to get Ayayi most comfortable.

I just see a higher SHORT term upside to Ayayi playing the same role on both sides of the court.

I feel more is to be gained for team success with Ayayi using his speed, defense, transition, etc to play spot mins in WCC and Post Season play.

Our overall stats were wayyy better vs Denver.

We looked more consistently dominant vs them, imho.

North Alabama a very poor shooting team no matter who they play, which has allowed us to take more risks....which I wish we would more often even vs Top 25 teams.

Doubling the ball handler, extending the defense, 3/4 press, etc. It makes a difference even if you give up a score or two

Huh? You're post contradicts itself. 43-6 is the epitome of a blowout.

Zags have done all those things you mentioned defensively, in tougher games. I like it too as long as they can keep the opposition of balance and not throw themselves off
