USD wins! Never in doubt. What is the record now against the conference of champions?

USD's Isaiah Pineiro scored a career-high 30 pts and had a thunderous two-hand dunk with about 2:20 left in the game and the score tied. Entertaining game to watch for sure...Pineiro was a stud for the Toreros!

RE: Kansas loss to ASU tonight, keep in mind the Jayhawks continue to play without the services of injured post player Udoka Azubuike, 7'0" and 270 lbs. He suffered a high ankle sprain back on Dec 4th. Might be back for the 12/29 game against Eastern Michigan. Azubuike was averaging nearly 13 pts and 6.1 rebounds when he got hurt. Clearly his absence tonight against ASU was a big factor in the Sun Devils pulling off the upset.

I believe the WCC is 9-7 v the PAC 12.

Given everything, the relative resources, the recruiting advantages, sheer size of schools as Tier I, this is actually damn impressive, no matter how "down" the Pac is this year.

NCAA should create a C-1 Division for the cheaters. Playoffs in NBA city with worse record.

Maybe @ 3 Kenpom and relative to #1 AdjO our 60 AdjD doesn’t matter that much? Still, you have to drop down to Purdue,19 KenPom, to find a lower ranking ( AdjD 75) and then down to Iowa, 33 Kenpom (AdjD89) to find lower defensive efficiencies.

Why do ESPN and others have Zags at 10-2?

    Is GU not 11-2?

ESPN shows Zags at 11 - 2, tied with LMU for second best record in the WCC behind USF at 12 - 1. http://www.espn.com/mens-college-basketball/standings

In fairness, other than the Wooden/Sam Gilbert years, the term "conference of champions" refers primarily to such activities as water polo and cross country and the like. Noble pursuits all.

Volley is big time, as is track and field. Love the Crook Gilbert reference. Ask BS Walton about him some day. Bill’s probably got the canceled checks.
