I believe if the zags win at UNC they will get a 1-seed in March.

In the past with these types of games I’d just hope the zags could compete and not get blown out. Things have changed though. I expect the zags can win this game. Boy do I wish we had Tillie and geno though.

We will have to play team ball to win.

Rio driving into 3 defenders in the lane and still attempting the shot is a big reason why our overall PPG has went down.

The hero ball mentality started to increase during the UW game.

We missed several wide open shot opportunities from the perimeter vs Tennessee as a result.

Hard for Rui to develop into the alpha role he is being asked to play for this team without at times trying a little too hard to do so...I don't think it's a "hero ball" mentality on his part or Norvell's for that matter. Zags need both of them to be their big scorers, which I'm sure is the message / gameplan coaches are prepping them with. Hard to be that without sometimes crossing the line and taking bad/too many shots...but it's a long season and these guys will adjust.

Man oh man, I so badly want Zags to play a fantastic game (Perkins mirroring his NCAA Championship game 1st half performance would be especially nice) and not just win this game but beat the Heels emphatically. That would be a powerful statement win and a very small bit of sweet revenge for all the Zags who last played the Heels..Karno, NWG, JWIII, Matthews, Collins etc.

    Zags - 80
    UNC - 83

Last time we see these Zags lose two in a row this season, but going into UNC and taking one is not an easy thing to do.

    North Carolina 69

Both schools are coming off of Finals Week; so I think the scoring will be somewhat lower.

Better FT shooting. Better rebounding. Better scoring by Josh Perkins.
I hope to see the Zags close the game with some positive scoring. Holding on to a 10 point lead and not end up in desperation of falling from a cliff.

    Go Zags!!!

Good analysis, Reborn. I think it will be an up tempo game, Zags 96, UNC 93.

I would love to see Gonzaga get a double digit lead in the 2nd half and maintain it to the end. On neutral courts they got up on Duke by 16 and Tennessee by 9 in the 2nd halves, so getting double digit leads against top teams is doable although it could be more challenging at UNC.

Heart, not head. Loss would make a end of year top four seed very difficult.

What I would LIKE to see is...the game live on TV.

It is the Christmas season and we can't close the store before 5, or later, if customers are there. Then it's pick it all up and put it away, drive home. I should be home by 6.

Thank goodness for DVR, and I have to listen to a different radio station to avoid a spoiler...and stay off the forum and internet as well.

THEN we get to watch the DVR'ed Broncos game followed by the DVR'ed Eastern game.

    Yes, thank goodness for DVR.
    It's not funny.

Unfortunately we are not deep enough right now to battle with the homer refs. I would love to see Carolina in the dance, but for tonight...
