My gut is telling me that's a pretty big day for Jalen.

Just to build upon my own sourceless theory, maybe the reason caldwellzag was so convinced Jalen would commit before Julian was because he simply had their birthdates mixed up. If he knew they both wanted to commit on their birthdays, that's one of the only reasons I can think of why he would be so confident of not only their decisions, but the order they would make their decisions.

Doubt he commits tomorrow.... didn't announce anything about him committing.. and most top guys announce it before they do it.

I have no dog in this "will he or won't he" fight, and generally find the whole recruiting/self-promoting and AAU side of "amateur" basketball to be the most disliked aspect of fandom for a college sports team.

But as a new-ish and reluctant user of social media who wrote a comment of encouragement, I will include one screenshot here - the first/solitary "like" of my comment was made about 2 minutes after I wrote it. Hard not to take this as encouraging. I think Suggs has a good head on his shoulders and wish him well regardless of where he plays ball for a year or two before the NBA.

He likes a lot of comments with Zag mentions, but on IG he also likes every comment, including mentioning florida or any other schools. Basically with this kid now, i am tired of looking for signs.. all signs have pointed towards us and yet we have no commitment. Until he verbals, I am done stalking high schoolers twitter and IG looking for "signs"

I wonder if Few ever follows Beilein and goes to the NBA when the recruiting sleeZe and theatrics become too much for him.

It’s been awhile (perhaps a decade or so) that Few mentioned to a few of us that he was intrigued with the NBA and could see himself coaching there.

Don't think so. I love Few, but an NBA coach he is not. Egos, contracts, control-freak GM's oh my!

An assistant coach who is an offensive specialist and is not the face of the franchise doesn't have to deal with those things. I could see Few spending the final few years of his coaching life doing some work in the NBA. Not having to recruit, deal with boosters and just being able to focus on bettering a team's offense at the game's highest level has some appeal.

My mistake. I made the assumption that it would be a HC job. In that case he has a friend in Boston that might be a good fit?

I think Suggs saw the family atmosphere that is here in Spokane during his visit-- the minimal turnover in the coaching staff has been a great help to maintaining the run.

In 8 years Few and Marcys youngest will graduate high school -- Mark will be 64 years old ----will he want to spend time with his grandkids (youngest son will be 27 years old by then) or will he want to jump into the NBA grind at that time - maybe ......maybe not.

I think Few has made it clear that family is the most important part of his life and I don't see him leaving to participate in the NBA grind-- I see him more likely taking his grandkids fishing.

Here is a quote from Mark Few about being there with family.

“People think they should get a badge of courage for getting to the office at 7 a.m. each morning and leaving at midnight. People that do that are missing the boat. They’re sacrificing their relationships with their families. It doesn’t have to be that way,” he told the outlet.
