247's Crystal Ball has him at 50% for Gonzaga (2 out of 4 predictions). Josh Gershon (92%) just made a hidden pick TODAY. Only subscriber could say whether that pick is for Florida or Gonzaga...

Actually logic says he picked GU today... Zags were at 25% before his pick...

Yes I will. So I am willing to say that Julian will be a Zag or I will not post in the whelping box until Suggs commits and if we land neither I will retire a failure.

Yes I agree! If we all left after making an incorrect prediction there would only be 1 maybe 2 perfect people left

Sorry I was completely just joking around about that. I would not quit posting about the Zags due to a 17 year old. Was having fun with bmillers comment.

Backhanded praise from a UNLV fan:

Love Gonzaga but UNLV is the OG Zags. Had the NCAA never sabotage TARK we would still be wrecking shop. UNLV was the OG Goliath slayer. Make Vegas proud again & bring us back from the ashes. Be the reason not just another piece. Be remembered forever. Stay home!

Decision day nears for local prep star Julian Strawther

"Strawther plans to make his make his choice with minimal fanfare."

“It’s going to be a post on social media,” Strawther said. “Nothing too crazy. Just get it done.”

I have a guess but it may be a weak one. What does "OG" stand for?

This kid seems well-grounded...gotta love this quote:

Strawther said the final call came down to comfort, family atmosphere and which school presented the right situation for him.

“The biggest thing was really making the right decision for me and not letting too much of what everyone else has to say affect my decision. So just trusting myself and choosing the spot where I think it’s going to be the best for me.”
    That screams Zags.

    I didn't know he was 6'7

As a high school junior, going into senior year? Might add an inch, too.

I think this one is coming here.

UNLV has about as much in common with Gonzaga as Las Vegas does with ….. Gonzaga?

Well, they sure have quite the class, two 5 star recruits, one of them being Watson's nemesis, McDaniel. I wonder if McDaniel and Watson exchanged sides of the state, if they'd swap the 4 and 5 stars, or whether McDaniel really does have the edge on Watson?
