Nothing. Just struck a chord I guess. Seen too many knocks on Adam for a lack of rebounding. Just providing a reference to a player who doesn’t get flack for a lack of rebounding at the same position, even though he doesn’t rebound at the same clip.

Not a knock. Love me some Kispert. Just made a comparison for reference. My apologies for the derail.

Julian is an absolute stud. Can’t wait to see him in a zags uni.

morrison probably had pretty decent rebounding numbers in high school too...at the hs level in his league, strawther despite his guard skills is often the biggest guy on the court. he even posts up fairly frequently.

Mr. Julian Strawther scored 35 and grabbed 14 rebounds tonight. There's video at the link.

i'm guessing that means his season is over??? his team often seemed to be a one man show...wonder if they even made the playoffs?

Lost by 2 in the final seconds to Zach Collins' alma mater and national powerhouse Bishop Gorman. That was the semifinal playoff game in the Desert Region.

When I asked him what he believes Gonzaga will do in his first season on the roster, his answer? “Win the 2020-21 National Championship.” Music to Zags fans ears.

I think Strawther is underrated as well. Very much looking forward to watching him play next year on what should be an extremely talented Gonzaga squad.

I know most of us (me included) can't wait to see Suggs and Harris on campus, but the more I watch Strawther and get to know him as a person the more I am truly impressed by him. He may end up doing more for GU over his time on campus than the other two of the tricky trio.

This sounds like a prediction that Dom Harris might not be around for more than a season or two...

Not really but I don't have a good comparison for him right off the top of my head. Melson's role and even abilities seemed to change over the years of his high school and then college career, in my mind anyway, so that's maybe where I dismiss that specific comparison.

Off to watch some more film and think on it lol

Shorter Austin Daye. Has all the offense including solid handles. Good, not great athlete.

Not at all. Strawther reminds me of Brandon Ingram from Duke a few years ago.

doesn't quite have the length of ingram and not as quick, but games are similar...strawther a better shooter at same stage. a bigger zach norvell on the perimeter but the extra size allows him to play in the paint more.
