    Default Happy 2018 Thanksgiving FOO!

Hope everyone is having a nice Thanksgiving.

Weird just as I am starting this thread someone who I don’t know
just called me to wish me and my family a Nice Thanksgiving.
The phone number said that it was from Mexico.
And they were talking in Spanish.

And I was like who are you and what number are you calling?

He hung up on me..... and I didn’t get a chance to wish him a very Happy Thanksgiving!

    How are you guys celebrating?

I am making barbecued ribs, baked potatoes, cranberries and stuffing...
Yeah no turkey. We are not turkey eaters.

I am thankful for family and friends, and That I don't have to see any today (I can stay in my sweats and watch football and the free extras weekend on Direct tv).

I am thankful for my wife for loving me, putting up with me and for letting me have the TV remote today.

I am thankful that my heart ablation on Monday had no complications and that hopefully it will stop my A-Fib, give me some strength back and allow me to dedicate myself to work going forward.

And yes, I AM thankful to be alive.
Hoping you have a sense of humor too!

Grateful for an entirely new life that took shape this year. Thankful for my friends here.

I can relate to being able to have the remote to yourself and especially
not having someone talking nonstop while your trying to watch tv.

Gosh glad to hear your medical situation went well.

Is PDX .... Portland or Phoenix?

Glad to hear that there are still party people in the FOO!

You have been promoted to FOO Party General!

We need a FOO Green Party.....

Lets see I am thankful for being able to cook another Thanksgiving dinner.
And, not give anyone food poisoning.

I overcooked the ribs so they looked like burnt rubber. And they chewed like burnt rubber.

I should have just nuked turkey tv dinners.

It would have been more cost efficient.
Now, I have two pans full of burnt black rubber ribs.

    I love Black Friday.

I can go and shop for things that I don't need, but, hey, it is cheap!

The streets of Spokane look deserted.

    Where is everyone at?

Happy Thanksgiving (a day late) everyone!
I'm thankful for my family, we have 3 sweet and smart little boys and the newest addition is easy going and a great sleeper...it doesn't get any better than that.

As much as I hate to go on Thanksgiving night, we ran out briefly last night so we could be sneaky and buy a few things for the kids (and my mom) while my parents watched the boys. We were only out for an hour and made it to 3 stores, no shopping today!

Yes, be thankful for a great sleeper.
I remember days of having to get up in the middle of the night, and.... on a daily basis.
    That was draining.

You know what it amazes me about Thanksgiving... now, is that it has become the start day of shopping!

    Who invented Black Friday?
and why do they call it Black instead of White (patriotism) Red (Blood, Sweat & Tears), or Green (for money)?

The reason why I mentioned earlier that I was thankful about the 2018 Maui Invitational.

Was that I can't remember as long as I have been following GU BB.
    Ever winning vs. Duke?
    Never. Always got manhandled.

It finally feels good to beat both of them.

like going to the Final Four.

Oh yes, another thing that I am thankful for this year is that....

We are in Spokane and not the city.

They had horrible air quality from that Wildfire Up North.
I think one day I was checking the SF air quality and it said the index was like 245 (dangerous)

I saw pictures of the city and the bridge.

Like thick brown fog, but, it is smoke.
People wearing masks around the city.

Living in the West, I mean ALL of the West - Wildfires are one things not to be thankful for.
The destruction in seconds. Your whole life gone.

Today, I was talking to a younger person early twenties, yeah, no use talking to an old person specially from Eastern WA
about global warming. It will get you nowhere.

WE both agreed that things are getting worse... the Wildfires.
As long as we have been living in WA State we have not seen Wildfires like these...

and, it is a pattern now.
    Like, hurricanes in the South.

Oh, before I forget, I am thankful for friends and family.
Even though, they kind of drive me nuts some days.

I was thinking the other day, what would I do if I found
    myself all alone tomorrow?

Some people are for the holidays.
