Eh. Was hoping for more. Sheffield is good, but was hoping for a better second piece.

Couldn't they get NYY to take Cano back?
      But we don't play nobody.

Looks like it may be NYM instead.

Honestly, the packages for Diaz/Cano and Segura aren't too bad. Tough to see the full tear-down, but those seem like decent returns.

                    Would tend to agree, web.

Will be interested to see if they keep Bruce or Santana to fill the Cruz DH role or flip them both.

General Managers meetings start next Monday in Las Vegas. Dipoto may have already gotten rid of everyone by then!

Typical Mets... give up good prospects for a player (Cano) who is likely past his prime. At least they got Diaz. Maybe the Mets will pull a Bonilla deal and pay Cano until he is in his 70s. Yes... Bobby Bo get 1.2 mill every July 1st from the Mets until 2035 when he will be 72 years old. SMDH

Come on. I suffer with the Mets... you can do the same. Expect the mediocrity and enjoy to the occasional good seasons.

That's pretty much my approach. My poor sons haven't yet figured out that with them living in the Bay Area that they've got other choices, so for now they're sticking with the Ms as well.

                              Dipoto, what a gamer!!

                              Found another article:

Mariners general manager Jerry Dipoto was released from a hospital Thursday, hours after completing a trade from his bed during the baseball winter meetings.
