Default OT -- Nevada added (6) transfers this off-season?

    Per ESPN:

There might not be a team in the country with more college-proven depth than Nevada. Eric Musselman brings back three all-conference players, while adding six transfers who averaged at least 13 points last season -- along with top-40 freshman Jordan Brown.

First, I thought, that can't be right, can it? No way the Wolfpack added (6), yes SIX transfers in a single season.

Second, I thought, all (6) averaged at least 13 ppg at their previous school/team, no way...?

Well, after fact & double checking, they did, indeed on both accounts!

6 new transfers join Nevada Wolfpack, and all were the leading or 2nd leading scorer of their respective teams.

Add in Jordan Brown, along with Caleb Martin (19 ppg), Cody Martin (14 ppg), and Jordan Caroline (18 ppg) ALL returning this season.

This is a national title threat, they nearly made the Elite 8 last season and their core returns, along w/ 5* freshman big, and 6 double-digit scoring transfers.

As good as Gonzaga is this season, Kentucky, Kansas, Nevada, etc are much improved as well. There is significantly better teams overall, top to bottom, this year compared to last couple years.

They should have a good team-- but will they be able to play together-- only so many minutes to go around.

Makes you wonder about team chemistry as one transfer already left and the player that hit the shot that took them to the sweet 16 transferred out to bring them down to the required 13 scholarship players.

I'm puzzled how Nevada Reno became such a recruiting powerhouse. They historically took a big back seat to UNLV until recent years. Reno has nothing on Spokane except maybe some dirty $$

Good point and I agree. Chemistry and rotational depth/roles could be a problem. Transfers generally have expectations to play right away.

How to keep all (6) happy when they were the go to players at their previous school.

Then again, they have 55 ppg returning in their Top 3 players so a nice core to work with...

Fwiw, as impressive of athlete as Jordan Brown is, and his attributes are off the charts, he lacks polish and motor (which gets exposed vs better teams). He is a nice prospect yet not sure I see him being much of a factor.

Impressive and proven team to contend with out west.

We could easily be playing them come post season time. They should be in the discussion for a #1 seed no doubt.

With the owner of the local brothels dying last week, some of the advantage of legal brothels might be removed.

One thing's unclear here. It says all 6 did that last season. Which means to be eligible this year, they'd all have to be grad transfers. Maybe they meant in the last year they played at another school, 2 seasons ago?

I know that they had a couple of transfers last year that sat out, like we had with Brandon Clarke. Not sure whether the others are senior transfers or were with the others last year.

    Right.

Skiing, fishing, mountains, casinos, golf, easy access to Lake Tahoe. . .we've got nothing going for us whatsoever. . .
