    Default Jonathan Williams

I know this belongs in old dogs but wow, how weird is it to see him, Lebron, and Ingram on the court at the same time, same team, playing at Staples Center? So freakin cool. Move this after the game, but I recommend you all tune in to watch. Half time right now, Lakers went on a big run right before the half, while J3 was in the game. If J3 makes the cut after preseason I'm getting a jersey!

Thanks for the heads-up! I tuned in to immediately se J3 throwing down with authority over Marvin Bagley.

edit... Then miss 4 free throws in a row.

Sad we only had him for 2 (well 3) years. Will be pointed to as a guy that is the epitome of a "Zag"

People pointed to the Lakers contract situation as an almost insurmountable obstacle and were very convincing. My question would be are there ever instances where contracts get eaten or bought out to make room for a guy they believe will mature.

New era in LA, seems they would want to have a few raw rookies that show real promise.

I would think a team would attempt to trade that salary...also think that if he plays really well, then a G-League stint would be the place for him to go...that is IF he plays consistently...I have not seen him play but has his free throw form changed?

He made his first two! I thought he learned! From then on though, quite the same old J3. Did well otherwise though.

Worth noting that Johnathan Williams, the undrafted forward out of Gonzaga survived the first round of cuts.

    And from HoopsRumors:
Both Berry and Carroll are good candidates to join the South Bay Lakers, L.A.’s G League affiliate. As for the NBA squad, the Lakers are now down to 15 players on standard contracts and two on two-way deals, so they don’t necessarily need to make any additional roster moves before the regular season begins, though Johnathan Williams is still on a non-guaranteed contract and isn’t a lock to make the team.
