Sabonis just scored 17 points in one quarter (2nd) vs the Bulls.
He keeps improving, he keeps impressing.

We've been talking about him all year, and he's currently 22nd in the entire NBA in Player Efficiency. I saw him mentioned in several columns when discussing possible all-stars as a viable candidate.

McMillian sees several similarities between father and son.

“Both high-IQ players. Really good passers for big men, their ability to post, play out of the post, pass out of the post, score in the post,” McMillan said.

“The similarity is just their basketball IQ, their feel for the game. They do a good job of making their teammates better.”

When told what his coach said about his similarities with his father, Sabonis took such praise as an honor.

“Yeah, it’s awesome. My dad was one of the best,” Sabonis said. “His IQ, his passing, his feel for the game was amazing, so to get that kind of a compliment is pretty nice. I’m so proud of my dad. Everything he did was unbelievable. Just to be in the NBA now and follow in his footsteps is awesome. I work hard every day just to become a better player and a better person.”

While it'll almost certainly go to Lou Williams, Sabonis is one of three finalists for the 6th Man of the Year award. Maybe voters will aim for some one new this year, the way they did for a few MVP awards Jordan or LeBron should have won.

Wonder how the Pacer’s pick of another center in the draft will affect Sabonis? Media suggests he is the odd man out and may anchor a significant trade.

Before that would ever happen, I'm sure the Pacers are going to do all they can to assess starting Domas at PF and Miles Turner at C, or vice versa (depending on match-ups). That's been the goal all along. I see their draft night results as an insurance play with Thad Young being an unrestricted free agent this summer. TJ Leaf could be shipped, too.

Whether that experiment finds success or not, Domas will be just fine.

Domas to the Warriors, where he would be a great fit IMO BUT his salary would surely dive into the Warrior's Salary Cap space...

Domas coming up on a new contract. https://twitter.com/TEastNBA/status/1182080061761044480

$18 mil 3 years out of college? Okay, okay, I'd take that as a starting point ...
