Definitely feels good. Regardless of the physical pain. While demo work seems fun at first. Man is it exhausting

I don't know if you listen to Eye on College Basketball podcast, but Gary Parrish talked about demolishing a playground in his backyard. He said swinging the sledge hammer was fun, but the next day both elbows were in extreme pain. He had given himself tennis elbow in both elbows.

To be honest.. I think the thing that hurt the most was picking up and bagging the sheet rock. Breaking that stuff down bent over at weird angles and then rotating to put it in the bag... just not motions the body is used to. Didn't really use sledgehammer all that much.

I see you're starting a "care package" business, how do I get on the list? Is this like the season ticket list where most people are wait listed?

Will have to see... Once we open, I am hoping to get a canning line fairly soon after. If this COVID thing is still churning away then it may be necessary.

Have shipped bottles in the past... quite expensive... Perhaps cans will be easier and cheaper.

Doing demo work is always interesting. Highly qiestionable construction choices in the past. I mean hey why rip down the plaster wall when you can just frame in front of it. SMDH... Don't get me started on the lazy electrical work.

Ugh, found out our town hearing was postponed. Huge apartment complex is complicating things and planning board wants a traffic study done. They are still very positive on the project. Hopefully we will get on the September docket.

very discouraging! Here's hoping for September and your traffic study goes well.

Not a worrisome development... just a timeline setback.

OK... had a solid meeting with our expediter this morning. Turns out what they really wanted was the detailed parking study right out of the box... not an actual traffic study. From the analysis we got this morning, it is basically a non-issue as there is more than adequate parking available. However, we have to see if we can get on the September docket. Really hoping that is the case.

Sept 9th... we get our hearing with the town. This has been the biggest roadblock. Hopefully by the end of September we will have town approval and we can start filing for permits and get moving on this.

Guess that means we need to step up the pace of our demolition work.

Took down drop ceiling grid and metal studs in tasting room area Saturday. My shoulders are still complaining.

So... I guess our application and hearing with the town has been noticed. Have a reporter from a smallish local newspaper reaching out to interview us.

Approved by town on the spot... expected to have to wait a week or two. Damn good day.

Nice work. Regulatory stuff is frustrating - usually.

Well this was the first hurdle. Now we have to get more serious on our architectural plans and start filing for building permits. If all goes as planned... we'll have equipment in sometime in January or early February... then I am brewing like a madman for about 1 month to get some stock built up for opening
