SPOKANE, Wash. – The NCAA Division One women’s basketball committee announced host sites for the regional championships in 2021 and 2022. Spokane made that list – twice.
The Spokane Veterans Memorial will be a host site both years. Spokane is the only city chosen to do this among seven host cities.
The committee chairmen said they chose Spokane because of the city’s experience hosting past championships. It has hosted the regional playoffs five other times. In March, Spokane hosted a women's regional round, won by Notre Dame.
