Imagine that the NCAA payouts for baseball are a little less then they are
for basketball’s 1.6M per game played but still one heck of an accomplishment!!!
Such an accomplishment bc much harder for cold weather teams. Down here, the teams are outside practicing in 65 degree weather on Jan 10 or whenever semester begins, GU has to practice inside, just not the same.
Makes what they're doing all the more impressive.
Oregon St. and Washington finished 2nd and 3rd in the Pac 12 this year. OSU has probably been the best program in the Pac going back over the last decade or so. There are definitely advantages to being in a warmer weather location, but it's not the be all and end all.
Baseball playoff format is totally different than basketball tourney. Start w/ Regionals, 4 teams in each w/ double elimination. 16 teams host Regionals. After that 8 teams host Super Regionals, each has two teams playing a best of 3 series. College World Series is 8 teams going to Omaha, double elimination again until there are only 2 teams left and then they play a best 2 out of 3 series.

You are right seacatfan. The proof is in the pudding, so to speak. It is true that Oregon State has been one of the best teams in the country for quite a while.
So, have the regionals been announced? Am I just in the wrong thread now?
Whenever you find yourself on the side of the majority, it is time to pause and reflect.
