    Default Old dogs playoff edition

Olynyk with a big game today in a Miami loss. The Heat lead at half with Kelly as the top scorer but Philly ran away in the second half.
Olynyk ended with 26 points, 7 rebounds and 2 assists.

Collins playing well so far in the first half with the Blazers.

Sabonis to play tomorrow. Indy vs Cleveland.

Sabonis got saddled with some bs fouls against the Cavs but featured prominently down the stretch as the Pacers came away with the Game 1 upset in Cleveland. DS had a nasty dunk and some beauty assists in the key stretch where they pulled away.

Indiana does not look like they are going to lay down for the Cavs, that's for sure. It was funny how everybody in the NBA world was bashing Indiana for that Paul George trade. Now Oladipo is tearing it up & Sabonis is coming into his own as well.

It doesn't appear that Stockton made the Jazz playoff roster.

Looks like he’s traveling with the team according to his Instagram.

Here's a nice NY Times article about Sabonis learning experiences with the Pacers: https://www.nytimes.com/2018/04/15/s...acers-nba.html

    Heat derail the red-hot 76er's.

Kelly with 11 points, 5 rebounds, 6 assists, 2 steals and a block in a big win for the Heat over Philly. He was on the court for most of the important minutes.

Dwayne Wade was phenomenal for the Heat. What a thrill for KO to get to play with a hall of famer like D-Wade.

I read somewhere (most likely linked in this site) that D-wade has been very impressed with KO and his game.

Some saying they look to be developing great chemistry (along the lines of Bosh / Wade).

That assist in todays game off of the steal was brilliant!

What D-Wade has said about KO:
Wade put it this way: “I knew in Boston that he hit the wide open three or he would drive left. That’s pretty much all he did. If he drove left, he shot faked. There was really not much else you had seen in his game like you do here right now.

“It wasn’t what [Boston] needed him to do. Here his whole game has opened up and he’s really good. It’s great to have a guy so unselfish like that. On certain nights, he can go for 30. He gets teammates involved. He’s a no ego guy.

“My 20 games here so far has definitely been a great surprise to be able to get a chance to play with him. He was hurt when I first got here and everyone was like, you’re going to like playing with him, and now I see” why.

Wade seems some similarities in how Olynyk and Chris Bosh play off pick and rolls.

“I was talking about that with UD [Udonis Haslem], very similar in certain ways,” Wade said. “KO is one of my favorite targets for sure.”

Not that I want to get into one of "those" discussions, but it appears pretty obvious that Zach made the right move going pro. He's going to have a very successful career.

I would not be surprised if he moved into the starting role for the Trailblazers within the next year.

I agree... he has shown real improvement over the course of the year. While I selfishly wish he'd have stayed, he made the best decision for himself. Just glad he's on the Blazers so I don't mind rooting them on.

Wow! Pacers come from way behind (-17) to win over the Cavs 92-90. Domas with 7 points in 24 minutes on 3-7 shooting.

Watching the post-game snow now on NBA TV.
