    Already discussed here:

none are grad transfers though, they all have to sit out a year. Marcus Carr, their freshman Canadian pg is definitely worth a hard look though.

Big fan of Marcus Carr. Love his tenacity, quickness, and game.

Vertically challenged. Probably closer to 5'11", but plays big.

The way he plays, fearless, and tough is precisely what this team needs in a PG, especially when they play teams like West Virginia, Florida St, etc. The team who try to pressure, bully, and play physical.

Gonzaga kinda sticks out amongst the other schools, and more like a sore thumb given the proximity to his home, and other schools.

I would not at all be upset if we were able to get Marcus Carr instead of say Brandon Williams. Marcus would be a fantastic guard for us.

    Freshman highlights at Pitt:

Interesting piece is he went to Montverde. Same place as Filip Petrusev and Andrew Nembhard. Both of which we recruited heavily.

Hes also half brother of Duane Notice from the South Carolina final four team:

Gotta think Cincy the favorite to land Carr. Kinda suits his style of play too.

Marcus was high on them out of HS, and they have reached out to him again.

His stats are kind of all over the place, which is normal for a freshman. Good game minutes, averaged 10pts and 4 assists but 30% for threes and a 50% turnover to assist ratio.

His stats are all over the place, not sure he did much to help his team win. Albeit a freshman but he only had 8pts against a loss to Montana along with 5 TOs. Pitt was blown out in many of their losses; many by 20+pts - No wonder he wants out

I would pass on Carr personally. Averaged 8.8 PPG on 33.5 FG%, 4 APG, 2.7 RPG in ACC play on a winless Pittsburgh team. Undersized and not a great shooter. I don't see it.

Understand the concern, yet the kid can play.

Remember, he would sit out an entire season learning GU's system, skills, & development.

He has skills to work with, very inexperienced going from Canada to D1 PG as a true freshman on a bad team.

He would be worth a flier, imo.

Although, unlikely he ever steps foot on GU campus.

Says it all we have shown interest, along with many other Top tier schools. There is something there...something to work with...

Agreed. We can do much better than Marcus Carr.

Like most top Canadian highschool basketball players, he played in the states; Monteverde Academy.

    Why? Can’t be talent level.

Malachi Flynn from Wazzou is transferring... now THAT would be a big get. Would sit out one and develop even more.. in 19-20 would be even more of a stud than currently is.

    Default Malichi

Transferring. He was given the keys. I’m not sure what he is looking for.

How so? He was simply pointing out a talented guy transferring.

I'll admit I watched all of 1 Washington St. game this season (versus SMC) but he looked like a beast in that game. Other than 3pt%, all the numbers look very nice. And some of that % is definitely due to volume and probably being the guy stuck with the ball at the end of the shot clock in a poor offense. The year before he was a lot better.

    Certainly worth a look.

The same thing NWG was looking for when he decided to transfer?

Geez, Flynn transferring, Franks declared for the Draft (although not signing an agent I think). Ernie can't last much longer over there. I've said it before, it's REALLY hard to win in Pullman. They'll probably never see a coach of Bennett's caliber there again. Poor Cougs, it's tough being the armpit of the Pac 12.

It worked out for NWG. We were going to be really good with or without him. And we made room. If Malichi can get that I think it’s wonderful.

Wondering if we have any interest in Michael Finke, grad transfer from Illinois. He isn't a super talent - but I think had a double digit scoring average his last two years, didn't get as much playing time this year with new coach Underwood, gritty player, and never stopped playing/trying. Good rebounder. Father was a super Illini FB player and the family is rooted in Champaign. Given that, I was surprised he is transferring, but maybe there is no PT for him next year. I think he is the fourth Illini transfer since the season ended.

From what I've heard, sounds like entire starting five is gone or going from WSU. Franks declared, Bernstine graduated, Flynn transferring, Daniels rumored transfer, and Accquah rumored transfer. Only one that would fit with us is Flynn and up take him for sure.

I wouldn't underestimate Flynn. Great player, good shooter, good defense and tons of speed. he doesn't belong in that system but he'd do fine at GU. At 6 1 he's a bit undersized but he makes u for it in speed and shooting. A Bellarmine product. AP Player of the year ( for all classes) and 4A POY. He's good. West to WSU because of the family tradition. His bro was 3 times NCAA outdoor hurdles champion.
