Saint Joe has GU as a 5 vs Zona at 4 in Round of 32...

ESPN Power rankings has GU at 15...

Evidently Gonzaga wasn't ready to give up the West Coast Conference crown just yet. The Bulldogs absolutely smacked Saint Mary's in Moraga, California, to pull back into a tie for first place. The season series likely will be decided in the West Coast Conference title game (although Gonzaga still has to play at BYU).

    SMC dumped to 23...

Saint Mary's had a chance to essentially seal the West Coast Conference regular-season championship on Saturday night, but the Gaels were dominated by Gonzaga. They're still likely to earn a share of the title, but the résumé is still lacking in quality wins -- something a second win over Gonzaga would have solved.

    That'd be a crazy gm.

I still believe if zags win out or lose one more they will play out west.
    Love the zags for life

I'd really love it if Zags could move up to the 4 seed line and avoid a team like Arizona the first weekend. That would be a tough out.

I think Joe's on the right track though. The committee was putting AZ up against the Buzzcuts for years and lately it seems they like placing them up against GU. Can't forget the second round drubbing in 2014 of course. It should have been GU and AZ in the E8 last year too.

Edit: I'll take that projection over SMC though. They got dropped right into Sparty's lap. No thank you.

Why doesn't Lunardi care about wins and losses? "Nova and Virginia each lost once, and Purdue twice over the last week, and they all three stayed with a #1 seed. It's BS, even if it doesn't mean anything.
Hoping you have a sense of humor too!

Lunardi's brackets reflect two things. First and foremost is where he thinks the teams will end up. Second, he is taking the entire body of work for a particular team into account. Nova, Virginia and Purdue are all legit and there are no teams with better overall resume's.
