29 points in the first 10 minutes, 3 points in the last 10 minutes.
That is one of the worst stretches of b-ball by GU that I’ve seen in years.

First half summarizes this team to date. Looked great early, fluid offense w multiple guys making shots. Then it became the JWIII iso offense, all momentum lost & offense grinds to a halt..capped off by a Perkins end of half drive into the lane and brick.
“I don’t expect us to be perfect anytime soon,” guard Silas Melson said, “but one thing I do expect is trying to get better every day and playing tougher, harder and more physical than the opponent.”

I missed the first 10 minutes so my impressions are certainly not great. I just don't think this team can continue to run through JWIII in the post. Love him and think he brings a lot to the table, just not a primary offensive point man. It not only maximizes his weaknesses (court vision, ball handling, and passing) but limits his strength as a great cut and explode player off the weak side.

Agreed. He is a great clean up man when he can crash the offensive boards or attack the basket for a back door lob. He struggles when he is the primary player to handle the ball in a possession.

the swing from first 10 minutes to last 10 minutes was full 180, like it came too easy too early, the focus and pace that gained the advantage waned, and hard to turn the switch back on.
about as bad a stretch of basketball as I've seen from the Zags

Is it me or are there way more scoreboard issues this year than the last 5 seasons combined?

Any chance of trying zone against a team whose dribble drive we appear incapable of stopping????

It's impossible to criticize this game because theres a flash of greatness, and then a gigantic stretch of mediocre effort, play, and execution in every statistical category. We'd be here all night if you tried to name it all. You see the same game I see right? Remember those years with meech where we would always drop a couple random WCC games because we played down to the level of our competition and we're just staring at the screen in disbelief? Ya, we're back to that.

..right now it is the team defense that worries me, if they can't shut down USF's offense when they need to, we are looking at an early exit in March...
