Sophomore forward Jahlil Tripp did an outstanding job orchestrating the Pacific men’s basketball team’s offense this past weekend, helping the Tigers finish 1-1 against two of the West Coast Conference’s top squads. His weekend was highlighted by a strong performance in Saturday’s 67-66 upset over visiting BYU. Against the Cougars, Tripp scored a team-best 22 points on 61.5% (8-13) shooting from the field and 83.3% (5-6) from the free throw line. His free throw shooting came up big in the final minutes against BYU, making all three of his attempts in the final 1:25 to help the Tigers hold at least a one-score lead. Defensively, Tripp finished with five rebounds.

Thursday night against Saint Mary’s he scored the game high of 16 points, while pulling down five rebounds and dishing out five assists.
